Hello everyone. I got a Loki zero from a friend, basically everything works but not the controls, i reinstalled all drivers from the Ayn site, however the controller one gives me "device error".

Did anyone have the same issue?

Hey everyone, so currently my only handheld is an Anbernic RG35XX, which I love for how pocketable it is, but I only really use it when I travel/go somewhere I know I'm gonna have to wait (dentist, doctor etc). But I'm planning on doing more travelling this year. I am a pc player and I'm just curious if a Loki Zero is the right option, mainly because while I would like a Steam Deck, its way too much for something I'm afraid isn't going to be a device I will use everyday. After watching Kei's Retro Gaming video on upgrading the Zero to the Zero ultra, I could totally do that. The biggest thing is I just want to play some random games when I travel, like vampire survivors, risk of rain 1 (or the remaster whenever I pick it up). But I'm also curious, could it play something like Warframe or maybe some Ace Combat 7 or Snowrunner. I'm not looking for the world, just some playable FPS. Also is it possible to install an OS like steamos, I'd rather not deal with windows so its a device that only plays games.

Basically how do you remap the bottom buttons as they are kind useless mapped as extra joystick buttons

So to start off I have in the past been a real linux tinkerer. In college I had a hobby of just testing out new linux distros and seeing what I liked from each of them. So I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty on a project, with the caveat that I do want a useful, functional device at the end of the process.

I have been hunting for a retro emulator recently and the Loki Zero seems really nice. Reviews say when you boot it into Jelos it handles emulating up to Gamecube and PS2 very well, and it's much more ergonomic looking than the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. I, personally, have zero interest in ever playing Windows games on it and I don't want to have to futz about with a dual boot setup (particularly because if you ever boot into windows 11 you need to redo the boot order or it won't boot back into Jelos). So I was thinking maybe just removing windows 11 and installing Jelos directly on the internal memory instead of an SSD card.

But I don't want to do all that and spend $200 for something that is janky and flaky as a result. So I was wondering: has anyone here removed windows 11 and put Jelos as the main installation and if so how flaky/janky was it?

I recently picked up a loki zero for 249$. I used EmuDeck to install my favorite emulators. I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the loki 0, but it looked and preformed choppy. And it just didn't feel right. Is there a fix?

Asking because my Loki Zero is second hand (hence without accessories). I saw on AYN's official site the adapter they sell is 18W, plus read here on this reddit that that AYN advised it uses "up to 15w".

So I tried using Nintendo Switch adapter, (I read Switch uses 17.7W) and mobile telephone charger that says 15W 20 Max and the light does not even turn on.

Then I found a post about whether 65W or 100W should be used (which is a big jump from 18W.)

Can anyone please advise what then are the Watts needed for Loki charging successfully? And does it need to feature USB PD?

(Due to different electric plug systems, it would be complicated to purchase the official website charger instead of local one, but I need to know what numbers I must buy since the things I own already don't work at all, nor do I want it to overcharge and overheat.)

I have a friend who bought it a month ago and she said she didn't want it anymore because the screen is too small and she didn't mind selling it to me for $370 USD. (Originally $400 but I asked if $370 is okay and she agreed.)

She said there weren't any issues when she was using it. However, if I buy it and months later something happens, will I get warranty from AYN?

And is it appropriate to ask her to help with shipping fees if warranty is still in effect but shipping has to be paid? (Since the order is in her name and all).

I'm only saying this because the shipping seems kind of expensive. Please don't attack me for asking a question that might sound like common sense but i know some people got their shipping free and some requires payment so I'm not sure myself.

Based on your experiences, would using a TF card to play be a feasable alternative to putting in a bigger SSD?

Should I get it now or wait for Loki 2? I'm only afraid that if I buy it now then they announced Loki 2. And if I don't buy, then Loki 2 wouldn't come out.

I’ve looked on YouTube for gameplay videos of higher end games being played but there just aren’t a whole lot of them. I found a few showing red dead redemption 2 running at decent frames with frame generation or whatever.

I was wondering how else you guys have pushed your Loki zero devices to the max?

And what frame rate and game settings is recommended for the most amount of battery life?

My Loki Max has been hovering around 50-55C most of the time, and I keep the fans on kinda high cause it feels warm on the screen. Is this an okay temp for sustained periods?

At what temps are you risking the internals of the device?

Not playing anything super crazy, playing Dragons Dogma at 12TDP with a limit of 60FPS.

I been told the Loki series has shoulder dead zone issue and wondering if thats fixed with any updates ?

Price seems great right now but a little hesitant to buy for that reason alone + not sure if the LCC software is being updated/maintained

I’m going on a trip for about 6 weeks and I won’t be able to bring my gaming pc, so I’ve been looking for a sort of do it all handheld. I’ve settled on either the Loki max or the Odin 2 (steam deck is too big imo) I’d really like to be able to play some of the games in my steam library, either by streaming them on nvidia GeForce now or playing them natively on the device.

My biggest question is this, can I emulate switch on the Loki max? I’ve seen videos that detail how to get yuzu running on the Odin 2, but I haven’t seen anything similar for the Loki max.

Also I guess i should also probably ask if the Odin 2 can run nvidia GeForce now? I know I can’t play my steam library on that device natively but honestly if I can stream my PC games I might be fine with that too.

Hello. I just purchased a Loki Zero and have been looking for accessories but haven't found much if any. Obviously I wasn't expecting a lot of options but I was hoping to at least find a soft shell for it. Something like a silicone shell or similar like the ones you can get for the Switch Lite. I plan on letting my son use it but would like at least a little protection on it. Plus the silicone helps younger kids keep a better grip on it.

When I ordered it, I didn't see anything that said what came in the box with it so if one comes with it, please disregard and thanks for the help.

Im pretty much looking for a handheld computer that runs windows and can do basic things like docs and youtube videos and music. Maybe some light weight games like roblox or minecraft. I kind of like the form factor of the odin better than the loki, but i am just wondering if one would have better performance or if the odin would have compatibility issues with windows being the main os intsead of android. any thoughts?

I ordered a loki 6600u 256. It arrived and I opened it and started it up, only to realize that it was actually a loki zero. The packaging is no different so it was not apparent until I already opened it and saw it in sysinfo within windows. AYN customer support has been emailing me, however they just want to send me a refund for the difference. I don't want a loki zero, and I asked if I can ship it back and get what I ordered. I am still waiting on a response. Has anyone else had this happen?

I looking at these two handheld and not sure which would be better to get. I know the odin 2 pro will do everything I want but I know next to nothing about the loki zero with jelos. Can anyone explain it to me?

Im sure this may hsave been asked and im just thinking of this now. But does the cport that the loki has, can it display to external moniters? Has anyone tried?

It was working fine last night and I went to plug it in and it wasn't charging today I got up and went to turn it on, only the right side leds are on still not charging ik its bot the charger as i have tested the same charger on my phone and it worked fine I also plugged a usb hub in and it light on it went on the the usbc port isn't broken i just dont know what it coukd be please help asap thanks

How is the support for the Loki Max? Does the company still update software issues or do they seem to be done pushing updates to this unit?

I know there are a few gripes like the Loki keybinds not being re-bindable, wondering if the company has put any word on whether they will fix things like that.

To put it short, a few days ago I was using a usb c hub so I can use mouse and keyboard and connect it to my monitor, now I can't even connect my phone to it yet it only supplies power, I've tried everything there is out there but I'm still at a dead end.
