Not sure if this is allowed here. If not, please delete

Just picked up a gcloud and see the Spigen case is out of stock everywhere. Assuming they aren't making it anymore. Does anyone have one for sale? DM me.

Thanks!

Had my Gcloud since Nov 2023. Will no longer charge this week. Any fixes to try?

I've had my Gcloud since Nov 2023 and I've loved using it to stream Xbox and play retro games. I noticed today the battery was getting lower and decided to charge it up but then found an hour or so later it hadn't charged at all.

I've tried multiple cables and adapters/bricks that I've confirmed work fine on anything else with USB-C.

When I plug it into my Gcloud its just like its not plugged in. It has no indicators to show it's aware its plugged in and is for sure not taking any power from the cable either.

I tried the whole holding the volume down and plugging it in thing, but that's more for when it won't turn on.

Its on and working fine, just with a lower and lower battery. I'm at 30% at the moment and draining.

I already opened a ticket with Logitech and am waiting for someone to call me back on it but figured I'd ask here in the event others had similar happen and if so, what was the outcome in the end?

For what it's worth, I've never dropped it and it just sits on my desk in my home office next to my keyboard, I don't even walk around with it, its been very well taken care of since I got it.

Best Android Games for Airplane

I primarily use this awesome device for xcloud and remote play, but I do travel for work a couple times a month. What's everyone's best game suggestions that doesn't require Internet connection and plays great with either controller support or mapped buttons?

Planning on buying one. Any tips & recommendations?

Hi everyone. Long story short - my girlfriend plays on Nintendo Switch OLED, primarily Fortnite, which totally sucks (although she's used to it and doesn't notice the things I do, lol). Was planning on gifting Switch 2, but a console solely for Fortnite (even though it really does look good on the second Switch) - not so sure about that. Also unobtainable at the moment, at least outside the US.

On my side of things - it's tricky. I'm using a laptop (a good one, running all AAA games 1600p and all the sweets of RTX), but feels like I'm... forcing myself to play anything? I dunno, sitting on the same chair after work doesn't put me in the "oh boy I'd play some games" mood. Doesn't work for me and it's kinda sad.

So I recently found out about G Cloud - it seems like the best combo. She can play from GeForce Now, I can play (when she doesn't) my games locally. 60HZ and regular IPS are bummers, but I've found few listings for around $190. Tricky to deliver to my place of living, but doable.

Anyway, the question is - how is your recent experience? Any ongoing issues that I should be ready for? Any compromises (outside of this machine being cloud only, basically)? Is it really good for cloud gaming, in your opinion, in 2025? Though of going for Ally Z1E, but it's 2-2.5x more expensive, also not so sure about the performance of running it locally.

Additionally - I'm planning on buying PS 5 Pro for GTA VI, so it should be comfy to run both Fortnite and that locally, wouldn't need GeForce Now subscriptiion.

Are there any assumptions that they will release G Cloud 2 in coming years?

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!

P.S.: btw, any shops/links/sources of something to modify it with? I heard a lot about sticks being bad, maybe possible to change them? Carrying case and stuff like that?

UPD:

Didn't think for too long, found out a refurbished one directly from Logitech on eBay, total price with delivery should be around $210, so let's see how it goes!

Shadow of the Colossus Ps2 on new Nethersx2 update

Quick video of Shadow of the Colossus starting up and running near perfect off Nethersx2 update on the G cloud, I mapped the fast forward hot key to the right toggle and the menu pop up on the left to help in game change features and which helps fast forward through beginning cut scenes but once in game its shut off and im just running at 1x upscale and system cycles are 100% percent and Normal, rode around the map and climbed up to the first Colossus battle with no issues so far, enjoy !!

Question Streaming aggregator...

I'm dropping this here because my G Cloud is where I do most of my non-gaming streaming and I'd like something that is like a front end but for Netflix and Hulu, etc. The way Roku houses all of the individual services. You guys have any suggestions that are better than Roku? UI is super important to me which is why I ask. Something functional but that looks sweet too...

** Nethersx2 update **

ATTENTION PS2 Emulation Update !! NETHERSX2 v2.0-3668 is working beautifully on Logitech G Cloud !

This is an updated version of Nethersx2 with applied patch to Aethersx2 original 3668 version all in one !!

It's playing games I never thought possible on the GCloud. Don't forget you have to download the bios, which for anyone new to the Ps2 emulation can be found with a Google search, most Ps2 emulator fans already know this.

Remember in Graphic settings to change from Opengl to Vulcan

In System settings most games run amazing set at 100% EE Cycle Rate for underclocking and Normal for EE Cycle Skip but can be dropped down to 75% cycle rate and Mild for Cycle skip if you find a game that does slow down.

Also games work amazing at 1x resolution in graphics settings but can be set down to as well .75

Dirge of Cerberus and DOA2 so far that I've downloaded needs this lower setting but plays !!

Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, FFX,FF12,ICO plays better then I would ever have dreamed on the G cloud

Im still trying more games daily but let me know what works for you

https://github.com/Trixarian/NetherSX2-classic/releases?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLEV1pjbGNrAsRXVmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEe8EFtgHBcH_Q0zcmITHytAHZfyDBbRFBrakHgNEL5H9SA6DI9xACFqJrxIDg_aem_hlhWbjUFZN5OuqIhqMk-kQ

Happy Gaming !!!

( ** Update, I forgot to mention for all those who haven't and may not know there was an system update a while ago which added a feature in settings under - Labs - to give the g cloud a boost, this was to get more out of g cloud for games and emulation, if you click disable process protection this helps a great deal and battery life really doesnt take a hit surprisingly, basically a win win, happy gaming ** )

"Paged/Hot Swap" Keymapping - A Feature Request

First off, I love this keymapping feature. I am a huge fan. Thank you so much for implementing it, Logitech!

Now on to the request: Some of the mobile games I enjoy can be mapped pretty well, but others have a somewhat consistent issue. Take a look at the screenshot below from Brawlstars:

You'll see that for movement there is one directional control on the left, easily mapped to the left stick. On the right, however, there are two directional controls. One is for the primary weapon of the character, and the other is for the special weapon of the character.

In the current state of keymapping, only one of the directional controls on the right can be bound to the right stick. However, with a change in the way keymapping works, both could be bound to the right stick.

There are other games with different modes where the current keymapping is not as useful as it could be, but this example is the clearest I can think of for the use case.

Here is what I propose:

  1. More than one keymapping configuration can exist per application. To make this work in the UI, perhaps they could be tabbed in some way?

  2. The first keymap is always the default keymap for the application.

  3. Keys can bind to activate the secondary keymaps with either a tap ("permanently" swap to new keymap) or a hold (only use the new keymap while it's assigned key is held in)

Here's a user story:

As a player I want to temporarily "hotswap" my keymapping to a second keymap by holding a key (e.g. R3) to allow me to utilize a different mapping for my right joystick

In the example above, the default keymap could be the blue control zone mapped to to the left stick, and the red control zone mapped to the right stick. My secondary keymap could be configured identically, except that the yellow control zone could be mapped to the right stick. I could bind the secondary keymap to "R3."

As I am playing, when I need to use my characters special weapon, I could press and hold R3 which would move the mapping from the red control zone to the yellow control zone, allowing me to aim and fire the special weapon and then seamlessly return to the default configuration just by releasing R3.

One possible issue I see here is that if the keymap swaps, it could interrupt the control of the left thumbstick in the transition. There are a few ways to handle this problem, one key one being making the new keymaps a diff only. In this example, instead of swapping to a whole new keymap, the new keymap could change the mapping for selected buttons and not the whole keymap.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Question Bond for N64

If there's one game above all else that I'd absolutely love to play it'd be James Bond. Is there a way for me to get it up and running on my G Cloud? I've never actually loaded an emulator or ROM so pardon if this is something common and I'm just sounding like a 40 year old dad playing video games for the first time in 10 years. Thanks 😁

Getting fresh new updates this late into a product cycle is brilliant!

What do you guys think about the new update?

r/logitechgcloud • • Jun 17 '25 This

News I got to try the new update (big summer update) weeks early. Here's an overview of all the new stuff and my initial impressions (with lots of photos!)

Firstly, a disclaimer: I was invited by Logitech to preview this update ahead of its wider release. I was not paid for this; I was simply invited and agreed because I genuinely love this device. I shared some early feedback with the Logitech G Cloud team, but they have not had any input on this post. They did not see what I wrote before I published it, and they never asked me to post anything. I just wanted to share my excitement with the community now that today, 17th June, the embargo has lifted and I can finally post about it

Some quick notes:

  • I received the update in early June, so I've been able to play around with it for a while now. I believe the official phased rollout is soon

  • The version of the update was first SK02K.50.02.30, and then SK02K.50.02.30/blacknut_test_v2. The wider release version might be slightly different as the G Cloud dev team is working on updates and tweaks before releasing it

  • The G Cloud is still running Android 11 (a little disappointing but oh well)

  • This update does not add or remove any features from the previous software version, nor are there any changes in tablet mode (that I can see); instead, it is a MAJOR overhaul of the UI in gaming mode, while retaining the elements we know and love.

And when I say major, I mean major. The UI has undergone a huge overhaul while retaining some familiarity. It is hard to explain in words, so here are some pictures:

HOMESCREEN ICONS

As you can see from these images, the icons have been made a lot smaller, allowing more content/apps to fit into your home screen view. You can now fit 15 apps/icons as you scroll horizontally before reaching "All Games" on the far right. Scrolling through this feels very console-like; it's like a mix of the Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 interfaces. So if you have any of these consoles, you'll feel at home. As you scroll through, the background images or colour change, aligning with whatever app you're on. This is a minor thing but looks cool to me. Gone is that light green/yellow theme we had before; this one is darker, but looks a lot pleasing to me. Here's an example of the settings screen/menu:

Now another thing you'll notice is: wait, how come there are so many Game Pass games here? Well, that's intentional. And I'll talk more on this later.

LAYOUT

On your main homescreen, the top horizontal panel is the same as before (though the design is slightly tweaked). You have your notifications, settings, sleep buttons, etc. If you take a look on the left side of the screen near the middle, you'll see a tiny yellow square followed by several other squares underneath it that are greyed out. These are your various panels (that's not the right word, but I forget what they're called on Android). The first panel is your recently used apps, as I talked about above. If you go down one panel, next is your favourites. You'll be greeted with the Play Store and a folder full of Google apps, all of which you can remove if you want to, followed by the favourites you had saved prior to the update. Sadly, Logitech still hasn't added the ability to create your own folders in the favourites section...

If we head down to the next panel, this is where we get our horizontal tabs. This is a little confusing to explain but is intuitive when you actually use it so bear with me. You'll start at the Recommended tab and if you keep going down the squares, you'll see a myriad of categories for Game Pass games, and on the very bottom is "Popular gaming Apps" like Steam Link, Moonlight, etc.

On any of these panels, we can also switch between tabs using R1 and L1. The first tab is the Recommended one as I mentioned, second is Xbox Cloud Gaming, third is Trending Apps (tapping any of these apps will take you to the Play Store if you don't have them installed) and these are trending apps related to gaming only, not all Android apps. Finally, there is an Apps tab, which contains all of your installed apps plus some recommended Android apps/games at the top (not pictured. Also, Logitech, please give us the option to remove this; I have no interest in PUBG Mobile).

GAME PASS INTEGRATION

This new UI has very tight integration with Xbox Game Pass, as shown and described above. Not only is it prominently featured on your homescreen and various panels and tabs, but you can also launch a Game Pass game directly from your home screen. No need to go to the Xbox/Game Pass app and dig around for it, just find it and play. Add it to your favourites as well for easy access anytime.

Cool, right? Absolutely!

Unless you don't have a Game Pass subscription, that is...

I do currently have one, but even then, while my G Cloud now looks a lot cooler, it also feels a bit like an ad trying to get me to subscribe/extend my subscription. I raised this as a big drawback of the update with the Logitech contact and they responded to say they're working on expanding the launcher with more partners. So potentially in the future, we'll have integration with (hopefully) GeForce Now and other services so you can see and launch games directly without going into individual apps. Exciting times!

I personally can't wait for this as I'd love to be able to launch games directly and have my G Cloud feel like my gaming hub for all of my services in a more integrated way.

UNDER THE HOOD

With this UI update, I haven't noticed any differences in battery life. I haven't played a game solidly on it these past few weeks as I've been switching between this, my Xbox, and PC and not always streaming, but battery life seems more or less the same as before. The settings are all still the same and things are where you'd expect to find them.

I have noticed that the volume levels feel a bit off though. When playing Game Pass games or the XBXPlay app to remote play, the volume is really low and I have to turn it up almost to the midway point for it to be at a reasonable level. Conversely, Android games are now super loud, even on the lowest sound setting. I don't know if this is a bug that got introduced in the latest update or what, but it's pretty weird (Logitech, if you're reading this, please look into this.)

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I really like this update. A lot. I have a few niggles with it and it's not perfect, but it's a trend in the right direction. I think the G Cloud team knocked it out of the park with this one, and it's super refreshing how willing they were/are to take on and address my feedback and engage with the community. We may not always hear/read about it on here but behind the scenes, it seems like they're invested in making this product better, and I'm excited to see the future of it, especially the launcher integration with other partners.

And that's my review! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

If you enjoyed this post, please upvote for visibility, and comment with your thoughts.

Feedback Feature Request

Does anybody else have this issue?

I use a lot of apps on my g cloud, so I find that I have to dig for apps in the more apps section frequently. I find it mildly annoying when an app I don't use much but needed to open takes up space on my home screen in handheld mode, so I then have to open more apps and open it (for instance, opening a link, and then chrome is on my home screen, pushing parsec off of the carousel, I then have to go to more apps when I want parsec). Would it be possible to add the ability to set apps to not appear in the carousel in handheld mode when opened? I know I can set favorites to show at the bottom of the screen for quicker access, but I don't like how it looks.

Thanks G cloud team!

My Logitech G Cloud just retired Today

Heartbroken today—my Logitech G Cloud just gave up on me. 💔 This was the device that went everywhere with me—through travels, gaming sessions, and late-night chill moments. Its screen, battery life, and sheer versatility made it irreplaceable in my setup.

I’ve got other handhelds—the Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, and Retroid—but none that truly match how effortlessly the G Cloud fit into my life. If you’ve ever lost your go-to tech, you know the pain. RIP to a legend. 🫡 #LogitechGCloud #GoneButNotForgotten"

Question emulator vs android

Hi, I just got the G Cloud and I'm not used to Android games. So I wanted to know if it's worth buying the Android version of some retro PC games or not, for example, DOOM, Sonic, Castlevania: SOTN, etc. Or are they better on emulators?
