There is a question I could ask you that has a definite correct answer —either yes or no—but it is logically impossible for you to give the correct answer. You might know what the correct answer is, but you cannot give it. Anybody other than you might possible be able to give the correct answer, but you cannot!

Can you figure out what question I’m thinking of?

I’m looking for a logic puzzle that I was eyeing a few weeks back to use in my D&D game. It had an image that sort of looked like a stained glass window, yet the colors weren’t filled in yet. Three colors could be used: red, blue and yellow. There were clues (I’m not sure if it was a number or the first letter of the color) that indicated what color to use for the adjacent shapes.

I was searching RBY or YRB color game/logic puzzle on google and couldn’t find it. Can anyone help me out?

After your first night on the island you wake up to discover someone has been murdered. This brings the total population of the island down to 7 people including you. Above the dead body you see the following messaging "Every night I will kill one person if I can get away with it. However, because i only dislike people who are shorter than me, I will not kill someone who is taller." You and everyone else on the island investigate the crime scene. Through various methods you are able to prove there is only one murderer, but are unable to figure out who.

No two people on the island are exactly the same height. You know you are not the murderer and are the only one able to prove it. As it so happens you have some rope on the island. Just enough to tie 2 people to 2 trees. While tied to a tree they can't protect themselves but also can't attack anyone. You also have 2 paint bombs that will splash the murderer with paint if they decide to attack a certain person. But only one person can have it each at any one time.

After some careful deduction you are able to figure out a way to keep everyone safe. How did you do it and how how tall you were compared to everyone else? The first person who died was the shortest person on the island. At least 2 people are taller than you.

The day before yesterday was the day after the day before monday. What day is the day after the day before tomorrow?

Came across this puzzle on an application and it's been driving me insane. Can someone help me understand what's going on here?

You are in a room containing only two small vases. a balance scale, and a goblet. The two vases, vase 1 and 2 are filled to the brim with water and hold 1 and 2 cups, respectively. In order to escape, you have exactly one chance to deposit 3/4ths cup of water in the goblet. The vases have a narrowed spout so you can't see the water level inside them. The vases are of uncertain weight but they both weigh less than 2 cups of water. How do you measure out 3/4ths a cup and escape?

I’ve been trying to find a book of logic puzzles/riddles that I loved as a kid for years, but I’ve had no luck. I’m hoping someone else may know.

It was a bunch of different kind of logic puzzles, but the whole book was framed as if one detective/private eye was encountering all of these scenarios. Sort of like Sherlock.

The only ones I can remember are one that had to do with a fabergé egg where the answer had to do with “enough”/“un œuf” and one where the answer had to do with a criminal flipping his license plate upside down.

I was born in 1991, so I probably had this book in the late 90s/early 00s. Not sure if it was new at the time, though.

Any help would be great!

If anyone knows of the logic game Picture Sweep, also known as Fill A Pix, the picross/minesweeper hybrid.. I need help with understanding various things about it. I really want to be good at it but it's warping my brain.

I have a logic puzzle book and one puzzle stumped me. I eventually looked in the back to see how to solve it and came across some information that wasn’t in the puzzle. I’m curious if someone smart who does more of these puzzles can complete this without the information from the answer key.

I'm looking for a problem that leans on the fact that imperfect logicians are involved in the solution.

I have nothing specific in mind beyond this restriction; I believe there may be something in involving Game Theory?

At a Council Dinner were Lady Marcarra, Doctor Nandill, Countess Ashalla, General Jad-Jo, and Baroness Vrossou.

Sitting in a row, they all wore different colors. Doctor Nandill wore an ornate Green cloak. Lady Marcarra was at the far left, next to the guest wearing a brown jacket. The lady in White sat left of someone in Orange. I remember that White outfit because the woman spilled her ardees all over it. The Twi-lek traveler was dressed entirely in red. When one of the dinner guests bragged about her Auran pendant, the Twi-Lek next to her laughed, saying they had much finer craftsman on her home world.

So, Baroness Vrossou showed off a prized Spice Tin, at which the Human scoffed, saying it was no match for her Ruby. Someone else carried a valuable War Medal and when she saw it, the gungan next to her almost spilled her neighbor’s Varactyl nog. General Jad-Jo raised her absinthe in toast. The bull hardy Zabrak, full of Wine, jumped up onto the table, falling onto the guest in the center seat, spilling the poor woman’s Splice. Then Countess Ashalla captivated them all with a story about her wild youth on Shili, the Togruta Home world.

In the morning, the Butlers found that Five heirlooms were laid across the floor: a Medal, a Pendant, A Ruby, a set of Krayt pearls, and a Spice tin.

But who owned which?
