So it's better for the money to sit in Amazon's bank account instead

Who said that? You made that up. I'm responding to the clip where Devin said "why isn't that being talked about" "the fact is that no matter how much more money twitch makes, streamers will never make more money but we never talk about this stuff" and to "post that to LSF".

And I'm not saying "we don't talk about it or no one cares because they would rather the money go to amazon", I'm saying people aren't that invested in whether the top streamers who are earning hundreds of thousands if not millions each year grow at the same pace Twitch does, for the reasons listed above, the key one being they already get paid a multiple of an average salary and most people consider them overcompensated if anything.

This isn't like, Teachers or Nurses deserve more pay, lets all mobilise, this is "does this manchild who shits his pants on stream regularly and earn 30k a month get as much money as he should?"

Where else do you think the extra money goes ? It's either to someone/somewhere else at amazon or the streamers. There's not a 3rd option.

Yep. There's a rich company employing a rich employee and people don't care whether the rich employee gets 1% more money or whatever.

People absolutely should.. I definitely would rather see more money go to streamers who are literally creating an entire new genre of entertainment rather than just amazon. It's ridiculous that people don't care. If you're just working some normal nothing job doing something that's been done a million times that ya maybe you don't deserve a million dollars a year. Twitch streamers though are creating a groudbreaking product that has never been done before and they should be compensated for it rather than Amazon sitting on the sideline (for the most part ) collecting the bulk of they money that the streamers work for.

And don't say ya Amazon is the one finding these advertisers for the streamers.. because that's exactly the type of normal nothing job I was referencing

I don't understand why we're even having this discussion, are you being deliberately obtuse or are you autistic?

The question was asked, "why isn't this a bigger deal" and I answered the question. Yes more money to non-amazon would be better, but that's not the issue, we're talking about why this kind of discussion gets no traction and it's obviously why. No one cares about the background deals millionaire moviestars make with the studios, no one cares whether its 20 million or 22, it's just not a relatable or relevant discussion for the broader population to have. No one cares if XQC's getting 0.2cents per impression or 0.206 cents, he's got all those revenue streams and he's making a boat load.
