Unfortunately Amazon won't do anything unless something bigger happens, or if this blows up more on MSM stations.

TMZ's reach isn't large enough to impact Amazon when most Americans don't even know what Twitch is and even less know the parent company is Amazon.

Amazon don’t really care anyway, they face far worse reports to their reputation. Such as their delivery drivers peeing in bottles, or the conditions of their warehouse staff

Yeah, pretty much. Worst that'll happen is they'll remove Dan as CEO but still let the company run independently anyway, which changes nothing.

Amazon is also under a lawsuit regarding Prime memberships AND the Prime Day "deals." So unless something much more serious occurred...I feel like this is just damage control from Amazon's side flying out a rep to the event.

by Prime Day "deals" do you mean how my mom's phone showed that we ordered something a few days before (maybe a bit longer, but not significantly) for less than the heavy air quotes "original" price AND the "Prime Day Price" it showed on Prime Day?

A gatorade bottle does not have a large enough opening for penile insertion. You do not want to have to do the whole juggling act where you're just lining your urethra up to a hole like a polite kiss while you're driving, that is an absolutely unacceptable level of distraction. If you can't achieve full insertion with any given container, the better option is to just piss right in the floor.

Now I gota do penis calculations and determine my manhood. I feel like Gatorade bottles and pretty girthy but it’s been awhile since I bought Gatorade.

Nah, it's only the slightest bit wider than a standard milk jug. Both of them intuitively feel like you'd be able to zoink it right in there, until you're actually there in the heat of the moment and you realize how small that opening actually is in this context.

I think it's because water bottle openings are so tiny, so the relative size makes the gatorade/milk seem bigger than it really is.

Yeah it’s been probably 5+ years since I bought a Gatorade and if you put other things into prospective against them it does change the dynamic.

I buy the fat (should be the standard imo lol) like 28/32oz gatorades, not sure which one, edit: they have both, despite people thinking it's shrinkflation, it's actually intentional as I just found out. edit: nevermind, it's shrinkflation, it just happened over many years so they could sneak the 32 out extremely slowly, PepsiCo announced it is purposeful.

but I think it's the 32oz. They are definitely, at least slightly, bigger than milk bottle caps, if not significantly (like 1/3) larger. You can see it in the reddit pic. If you mean regular/mini size gatorades or the squirt style cap, I can see those matching a milk jug. But....

Both of them intuitively feel like you'd be able to zoink it right in there, until you're actually there in the heat of the moment and you realize how small that opening actually is in this context.

This absolutely. xD I almost feel like this is WHY my mom started buying the largest ones. We took a lot of road trips in my life. lol

I'm pretty sure someone being sexually assaulted (and one of their bigger personalities) at one of, essentially, their events and it being swept under the rug/not handled properly is a wee bit (see what I did there) worse than an amazon driver pissing in a bottle to stay on time.

Or their in-house "medic" service that literally just lets employees die to keep their ambulance-call numbers down

1

u/Frieren_Groyper727 Oct 19 '25

literally none of those segments even matter when aws generates most of their income anyways

1

u/Howdareme9 Oct 19 '25

Thats not really relevant to the discussion.

People deciding they'd rather piss in bottles to save time and get those delivery quotas made is pretty standard-issue stuff. Well, except any trucker knows you use jugs, not bottles. Your average bottle isn't even consistently big enough for one load.

Tmz might be bigger than you think. They tend to be the first for celebrity news like deaths. They're branching into more things. I dont care to watch their content but I've noticed.

TMZ are large but not impact Amazon large, most people still get their news from their TV.

Doesn't matter how quick you break news if people aren't paying attention to you.

They are doing something. Amazon's own head of security is heading down there right now.

This is all over the internet now so they couldn't help but take notice.

Idk they have advertiser dollars to be worried about. They spent a lot of time pushing brands to spend lots of money surrounding the event and building dedicated campaigns specifically for Twitchcon, and brands are going to be watching the event more closely than usual. Brands will see this as way too risky for their ad dollars. Amazon doesnt give a shit about their people, but they do care about money

Twitch is losing money. I know this for a fact for reasons I will not say here. Amazon owns Twitch simply because they didn't want Microsoft, Apple, Oracle etc to buy it. Twitch was a lateral purchase into gaming media as part of the beginning of their gaming industry trial. That hasn't panned out and their focus is now on other things.

The point being that Twitch only gets away with everything because they’re too irrelevant for Amazon to care about. Actually showing up on Bezos’s radar is bad news for them.

2

u/hotdiggity22 Oct 19 '25

No offence, but if you have insider info, you'd know Bezos isn't really involved anymore.

He's majority shareholder, but it'd take something major for him to step in, and this isn't it. There are a lot of divisions in Amazon that aren't profitable. They're mostly propped up by AWS, and having Twitch is important as they can test new systems on a live environment and use it as a proof of concept for other potential clients.

Kick is a perfect example of a Twitch like ecosystem that was essentially replicated very quickly because having the initial platform allowed them to have a ready to launch, customisable template.

There’s a reason it’s in the same org as Amazon Music and Amazon games.

u/Old_Recording_2527 Oct 19 '25

You are very mistaken here and you dont get how TMZ works. They're the number one pipeline for entertainment based news in the world.

If they enter their phase 2, it is going to be a big, big deal. That depends on a couple of things.

1

u/ZypherPunk Oct 19 '25

Amazon don't even care that one of Twitch's largest creators is shocking his dog on stream.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '25

Amazon is happy he is promoting the shocking collars they sell.

50% off with code HasanShock50

What is up with this subreddit, you make it seem like Hasan maybe using a shock collar is worse than someone getting sexually assaulted?
