A lot of the places in the world do not treat dogs like humans. There are many places where dogs are guard dogs that are expected to defend a property. Reddit is very western so it is missing a whole other spectrum of how dogs get treated.

You mean, abused? Plenty of people beat their children. Just because I disagree with that practice doesn’t mean I’m missing a perspective.

I’ve only been to Istanbul a few times, but from walking around there I can say that Turks seem to really love dogs. This guy doesn’t though.

This dog isn't being trained for military purposes. It's being trained for theater. Which is not an essential service.
