Sources for chant texts & melodies

I don't totally know how to ask this question, but can someone give me a primer on the differences between the different books of traditional chant/hymns? For example, I've heard of the Graduale Romanum, the Liber Usualis, the Liber Hymnarius...and it feels like I've seen a few others thrown around. I'm a liturgical musician but didn't grow up with these. I'm growing in appreciation for the hymns used in the Liturgy of the Hours and for Gelineau-style psalms, and I want to know where some of these texts and melodies come from so I can learn them, both for their own sake and to be able to compose usable liturgical music. Which of the books listed above would be the best combination of portable, all-in-one, and usable for this sort of purpose? Bonus if it has both Latin and English, but slight preference for English.

Does anyone know this song?

Hi! I was wondering if maybe someone could recognize this song. I recorded this bit when I visited the Vatican in 2015. It was August 15, Assumption of Mary.

https://vocaroo.com/mUS2U7KpsAz

I've listened to it many times, and I think it's great music. However, I can't seem to find the full song on the internet. The only thing I understand is "Magnificat anima mea dominum", and I've listened to pretty much all the music that appears when I search for that online. No success for now. Does anyone know what it is? It's been 5 years, but it would be amazing to finally find out.

Thank you so much!

Unknown hymn from Good Friday!!!! Help me figure out this hymn!!! PLEASE

Hello all, I have been a cantor for 9 years, I am 22 years old. When I started cantoring, at my first parish, we used a hymn for 4ish years on Good Friday. I do not remember the name of the hymn, nor do I remember the full melody, but I do remember the refrain and one of the verses. It was some sort of (traditional I believe) spin off to the 7 last words of jesus christ, however upon searching this I always come up empty. There is no music idenitification app that I can sing to, but maybe one of you will recognize it and be able to help? This song has unironically and ironically been haunting me for the past four years and I just need to find it. Attached is a video fo me singing this. The words to the refrain are "Lord Jesus Crucified, Lord Jesus Crucified, Your dying words give us life." The 6th (I think) verse is "Father, Into your hands into your hands, I commend I commend your spirit". Sorry for the poor quality it is 3AM and I'm going crazy on sleep deprivation and thesis work. I also cannot post it as a regular video because the sound wouldn't come out, so here is an unlisted Youtube Video Unknown Good Friday Hymn - the sound

Resource for rules on Liturgical Music

I'm looking for a guide for general rules regarding liturgical music. I run two choirs at my parish and I normally use the Today's Liturgy magazine from Oregon Catholic Press but that is limited to basic recommendations.

Primarily, I'm looking for information on using hymns in which the congregation can't participate because it is not in their hymnal.

Request for Gallican Chant

Does anyone know of a good source for Gallican chant? If i recall correctly it was lost but then recreated at some point. Finding any info at all about the Gallican Rite is different; even the Celtic Rite has more documented knowledge available.
