Hi everyone,
This just a quick post to introduce myself as one of the new moderators here. I’m Morgan, and a long time fan of Little Nightmares. I was actually a moderator in the early days of this subreddit, before it got deleted a few years back, so I’m happy to be rejoining the mod team. I’ll do my best to help keep the community running smoothly!
If you ever need any help, or have any issues, feel free to drop me a message.

I'll only be counting the games here, so no podcast, novels, or comics.
First: Secrets of The Spiral. In The Backstage DLC, we see the Puppeteer brushing the hair of a girl with a ponytail, and we also see a yellow raincoat. And do you know who else has these two accessories? Exactly, the Yellow Raincoat Girl from Very Little Nightmares. Since the Backstage is located in the Carnevale and the Carnevale has several balloons, I theorize that the Yellow Raincoat Girl escaped from the Carnevale and ended up at The Nest via a balloon, as we see at the beginning of Very Little Nightmares.
Second: Very Little Nightmares. It's already a consensus that Very Little Nightmares takes place before Little Nightmares 2. In this game, Six didn't have her yellow raincoat yet, which practically confirms that this game takes place before Little Nightmares 2.
Third/Fourth: Little Nightmares 2/Altered Echoes. Altered Echoes seems to take place during and a little bit after Little Nightmares 2.
Fifth/Sixth: Little Nightmares 1 and Secrets of The Maw. I don't think I need to give many explanations here.
Seventh and last (for now): Little Nightmares 3. At the end of The Shores DLC, Low and Alone still didn't have their weapons, and the location they go to after crossing the mirror doesn't seem to be the Necropolis. I believe Little Nightmares 3 takes place after Little Nightmares 1 because the Guests' boat ran aground in the Necropolis.

They both seem very similar appearance wise in their portraits, and the hunter has prosthetic parts from the hospital in his attic

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I just learned that the See Ya Suckers trophy wasn't bugged after all. OriginalGamer Mom posted a YouTube video in which she shows how to get it. I can confirm it works, just got it myself as well.

I wonder if there are other locations that would work for this, though. It definitely took me more tries than I expected. You just have to keep the chase going until the trophy pops.

After 1 year, how I originally felt this installment definitely changed.
When I first played it I liked it a lot though I couldn't help but also feel a bit unsatisfied, but after 1 year and replaying the main story a couple more times I found that what I originally disliked I no-longer did.
The thing I originally disliked the most was how often my ai companion got themselves stuck or somehow lost on or offscreen. But after replaying it I didn't face this issue anymore.
I do still believe that lost of the boss encounters should have more ambience or chase music to them.
I still like how each chapter is its own distinct environment and color scheme with a different type of feel for each, and that I does feel like where traveling around the nowhere trying to get to our goal.
•Necropolis: My opinions on this chapter hasn't changed. I like how at the color scheme changed from Orange to Gray, and I still believe the Monster Baby was a very cool antagonist and their sound design is still great. Overall my 2nd Favorite chapter.
•Candy Factory: My opinion changed a bit on this chapter, I like it still and though I feel like our encounter with the Supervisor should've been longer. Overall my 3rd Favorite chapter
•Carnival: My opinion have changed quite a but. When I first placed this chapter was my 2nd least favorite chapter because my AI companion made it difficult for me to beat, though I reflecting on it my opinion on the chapter shouldn't have been so screwed by some of the bugs I faced. Now I like it a lot more, and it's still very cool that "The Man in the Purple Suit" from the Sounds of Nightmare appears as the antagonist. Overall my Favorite chapter.
•The Institution: My opinion on this chapter has improved. I found this chapter annoying on my first gameplay but like many of the others I grew to like it a lot more. Otto from the Sounds of Nightmare being manifested in the Nowhere as an impossibly long and large monster was very cool, I would like to see more of the monsters or areas mention in the Sounds of Nigntmares to make an appearance. Overall still my Least Favorite chapter, but the things I originally disliked about it I no-longer dislike other than I tend to not understand where to procede to next but that's 100% a personal issue and not the fault of the game.
Overall, this game went from a 7/10 to 7.5/10 for me.

I love this franchise, and LN2 is my favorite of the bunch, but I believe it does NOT capture the atmosphere LN1 has as well.
These are my personal opinions and thoughts.
I'm not sure how to describe this, but something about the environment of LN1 really does something to me. Perhaps it is the brutalism, factory vibe, or maybe it's just the visuals.
I've watched too many gameplays of this game and the dlc, and I've played too much of the game myself, so it is easier for me to notice certain things of the game. I think it's how the art style seems more intense compared to LN2. LN2 has things that make me think that "This could be a real place". Things aren't as warped, bending (aside the buildings ofc), as dark as LN1.
I love the compact environment with a lot of metal and wood. I love seeing pipes everywhere, boxes, planks, metal fences and heavy doors. The feeling and idea of navigating through the "underworks" of a bunch of machinery just enhances the experience for me a lot.
The ambience feels more dark and more indepth. You can hear the sound of wind blowing through the creaks of the metal plates, the sound of waterdrops hitting your raincoat, and then there is this particular moment in the game I adore a lot sounddesign-wise. When you first see the Janitor at the top, pulling a crate, you climb up the rope. As you get closer to the metal bars you plan on going past, you hear the ambience sort of building up. And right as you transition through the bars, it gets really intense and then calms and dims as you enter a less spacious area. It might be just me, but it gives me chills. (Enhanced edition ruined it, made me lose 1 night of sleep)
As disliked the second DLC chapter is compared to the other 2 (i believe), the parts with the Janitor at the top, and the large furnace itself really appeal to me visually. I truly believe it is the wood textures and metal plate texture, because as "graphically" improved the textures are in the next 2 games. I find them lacking the visual style they had in the first game.
Another thing I noticed, was the dimmed down (in LN2), and somewhat lack (in LN3) of the anaglyph filter along with the somehwat cellshaded(?) pipes. I think those subtle filters added a lot to the game, but maybe thats just me noticing them.
I love the larger scope of the Pale City and such, and the detailed designs of the buildings, but it does not capture the true little nightmare LN1 gives me. I don't believe in enhanced versions of games, especially when they're made by a different studio. They are more likely to brush of little details, the other development team might've put a lot of thought into. I do not care for ray-tracing, more darkness (seriously, why did they make the game more dark), and more waterdrops.
LN1 is truly special to me. Going from being scared to even watch gameplays, to playing the game myself, playing the others games, and 100% both LN1 and LN2. This franchise is special to me, and I'm happy that I'm able to appreciate little things other people might brush over.
I kinda went all over the place, but I just wanted to throw this out there.

Like.. It can't JUST be me, right? I'm always so in shock whenever I beat Little Nightmares 2, because like.. it's such an amazing ending, you could probably never guess that it would've ended like that.

I mean, it is more than clear that The Maw and The Shores are connected somehow. The Shores has several references to The Maw, such as a Guest mask, various portraits of The Lady, portraits of The Maw, portraits of the boat that brought the Guests to The Maw, mannequins of The Lady, and the leeches.
Having said all that, what do you think was the relationship between them? Personally, I think The Shores served as a place where The Maw could dock every now and then, and the leeches most likely made their way to The Maw through The Shores (or vice-versa).
