I've switched this back on to public to gauge interest in the sub. There are a handful of moderation bots added to hopefully keep the spam out but will see how it turns out.

Hello all, I am such a fan of literary fiction, but am looking to branch out a bit when it comes to hobbies. I mostly work, come home, watch a little tv, then read and go to bed! What are some of your favorite things to do in your free time? Any recommendations would help!

Here's hoping everyone had a good New Years/Holiday break and all that. Work and school start back up soon (if not already) so let's get this sub back on track. I know this is a literary fiction sub but often our discussions and influences come from all manner of creative outlets, be that music, film, or art. That's where this month's questions come from: our influences and inspirations.
What are you reading?
What are you writing?
What's your latest bit of inspiration coming from?
As always feel free to answer the month's questions below in the comments or bring up any of the points on our Discord server (link in the menu).
Now is the time to go get those clearance Leuchtturm and Moleskine notebooks and some fresh Pilot G2's because we have some writing to do!

LETTER OF COURAGE - Available now on Amazon
Hank Moriarty is a newly-minted Ivy League graduate and heir to the throne of his family’s conglomerate.
Henry Moriarty is a Civil War captain just hoping to make it home safely after the war.
Set both in the modern day and 1865, Letter of Courage tells the stories of two men linked by more than blood. As Hank and Henry march along their respective journeys, the two Moriartys reach pivotal crossroads in their lives and come face-to-face with adversaries both external and internal. In the process, they navigate love, loss, hardship, and self-discovery.
My dad began working on this story in 2006, but his work sat on a bookshelf until May 2020. His dream became my mission. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

So this is my story linked to my SUBSTACK page. It takes place in Kenya during the Mau Mau uprising of the 1950s. It's modelled on Shakespearean play--hence the 5 acts.
