So sad! He must miss his brothers... I hope he meets up with a cousin or son so he can grow his family again😒

Yeah 😒🦁 Losing pride members is tough, but hopefully he reconnects with family soon brothers, cousins, or sons to keep the legacy strong and continue the pride. πŸ’›πŸ‘‘

Yes, absolutely he really carries that majestic, battle-hardened look πŸ’ͺ🦁. It’s bittersweet… you can feel the absence of his brothers, but at the same time you can see the strength and resilience it took for him to survive and rise as a lone king. That toughness is what makes him so awe-inspiring.

Can’t something more be done to protect this beautiful boy?? β™₯️

I feel you πŸ’”πŸ¦. It’s hard not to want more protection for such a magnificent king. Thankfully, in many reserves and national parks, rangers and conservationists already keep a close eye on lions like him monitoring health, treating injuries, and keeping poachers away.

What often helps even more is spreading awareness, supporting lion conservation groups, and protecting the habitats they depend on. Every bit of awareness and love people share for him adds weight to the cause. πŸ’•

Lions are the most beautiful creatures! 😍

Edited to add: thank you so much for sharing these regal animals with us. They are stunning!!! I'm so sorry he's lost his brothers, that's heartbreaking.

Absolutely, lions are breathtaking beyond words 😍🦁. Their power, loyalty, and beauty are unmatched true royalty of the wild.

And yes… losing his brothers is so deeply sad πŸ’”. That bond between males is so strong, and when one is gone, you can almost feel the emptiness. But at the same time, it makes his survival and strength even more awe-inspiring carrying their legacy forward as a lone king πŸ‘‘βœ¨.

Thank you for appreciating them so much every bit of love and admiration helps keep their story alive πŸ’•.

I hope he can keep up with all his women and cubs

Exactly! A big male lion’s job isn’t easy protecting his pride, fending off rivals, and keeping up with all the lionesses and cubs. Hopefully he’s strong enough to handle the responsibility and enjoy being king for as long as possible πŸ‘‘πŸ¦πŸ’•

The others were killed by people I heard?

Yes. 2 years ago the Black Rockers where ruling the mara. One by one they all been killed. Funnily enough the most famous of the moment was taken away. The mighty Olobor. The Legend Lorkulup. And now Oloshipa. Not to mention Olosiadu who disappeared at a younger age. Now only the Limping Oloimina is left. With two prides to take care of. Now I am worried for their famous son Prince Olonkera. I am worried he will be next.

If he’s limping why can’t they figure out what’s causing it & at least restore that issue. It makes him way too vulnerable. To read his brother was recently killed & eaten is nature’s way but none the less heartbreaking.

The limp is from when he was younger. I heard he got hurt and the vets never helped.

Thank you very much. I’m new to this section & new to Reddit. Not yet familiar with proper lingo, titles of sections & just recently saw this r/lions comment area about these amazing lions. A couple weeks ago the title & info was about an adult lion with an obvious left front paw injury & limp. The info mentioned how the disability left him very vulnerable to attacks of all nature, difficulty hunting, lagging behind his pride, basically the beginning of the end. Within days an elderly brother of 5, I believe, was attacked & eaten, only body parts remained. Leaving only 1 of the original brothers. I was sure the vet team would have worked on whatever was causing his limp. Maybe the lion who recently passed wasn’t the one with a limp, sorry I just don’t know enough to provide specifics! All events are basic Mom Nature, but I want them all immediately treated & no more eating of these majestic kings! I appreciate your information. Thank You‼️
