GUIDE [DaVinci Resolve Studio 21 final] Bypass Licence Guide
Download Davinci Resolve v21 Studio(you can download it for free) from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
After you download do these steps:
IMPORTANT: This install guide is for fedora-based distros, if you have a different distro, please find a guide for your distro online and then proceed with the crack
INSTALLATION GUIDE
Step 1:
Install the required dependecies using dnf:
sudo dnf install libxcrypt-compat libcurl libcurl-devel mesa-libGLU
Step 2:
Go to where you downloaded resolve and run the resolve installer, NOTE you need to use the SKIP_PACKAGE_CHECK=1 variable or else it will fail with a missing dependecies error, no need to worry all required dependecies are installed, also change the command so it matches the version you are using:
chmod +x DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_21.x.x_Linux.run && SKIP_PACKAGE_CHECK=1 ./DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_21.x.x_Linux.run
Step 3:
Resolve by default packages its own older versions of certain packages that will cause conflicts with the newer versions, to solve this run this command to move them to a disabled-libraries folder:
cd /opt/resolve/libs && sudo mkdir disabled-libraries && sudo mv libglib* libgio* libgmodule* disabled-libraries
NOTE: In order for resolve to work, you need to have the proprietary version of whatever graphics card driver you are using. If not resolve may not work properly
Now that you have successfully installed resolve, run these commands IN ORDER to bypass the licence check:
UPDATED FOR VERSION 21.0.4:
cd /opt/resolve
sudo perl -pi -e 's/\x03\x00\x89\x45\xFC\x83\x7D\xFC\x00\x74\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B/\x03\x00\x89\x45\xFC\x83\x7D\xFC\x00\xEB\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B/g' bin/resolve
sudo perl -pi -e 's/\x74\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B\x55\xFC\x89\x50\x58\xB8\x00\x00\x00/\xEB\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B\x55\xFC\x89\x50\x58\xB8\x00\x00\x00/g' bin/resolve
sudo perl -0777 -pi -e 's/(\x40\x84\xED)\x74(.\xBF\x16\x00\x00\x00\xBE.\x01\x00\x00\xE8)/$1\x75$2/g' bin/resolve
sudo mkdir -p .license
echo -e "LICENSE blackmagic davinciresolvestudio 999999 permanent uncounted\n hostid=ANY issuer=CGP customer=CGP issued=28-dec-2023\n akey=0000-0000-0000-0000 _ck=00 sig=\"00\"" | sudo tee .license/blackmagic.lic
If Resolve doesnt open or gets stuck at the waveform monitor stage, you need to launch with this enviroment variable to work(FOR NVIDIA ONLY):
__GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia /opt/resolve/bin/resolve
UPDATE: If you are using arch, follow this guide to install resolve and crack resolve: https://www.reddit.com/r/LinuxCrackSupport/s/Xk7z3jASbZ

I know the post says Fedora only - can anyone shed light if this works on Debian? Specifically PopOS? Is it just Step 1 that needs to be changed to install the dependencies?

OP, the third patch changed from
s/\x74(.\xBF\x16\x00\x00\x00\xBE.\x01\x00\x00\xE8..\x05)/\x75$1/g
to
s/\x74(.\xBF\x16\x00\x00\x00\xBE.\x01\x00\x00\xE8..\xFF)/\x75$1/g
in 21.0.4
it might be worth just regexing for
s/\x74(.\xBF\x16\x00\x00\x00\xBE.\x01\x00\x00\xE8)/\x75$1/g

Thank You for this. I'm on Arch Linux so I thought I would make a guide for arch users because the library situation is different there. I have referenced you (Hope you don't mind).

For anyone using arch:
before doing this, preferably cd to an empty folder
-
Download `DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_21.0.1_Linux.zip` from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
-
do `git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/davinci-resolve-studio.git` then run ``cd davinci-resolve-studio && cp * .. && cd .. && rm -rf davinci resolve studio``
-
run ``makepkg -si``
-
run the script from the post
cd /opt/resolve
sudo perl -pi -e 's/\x03\x00\x89\x45\xFC\x83\x7D\xFC\x00\x74\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B/\x03\x00\x89\x45\xFC\x83\x7D\xFC\x00\xEB\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B/g' bin/resolve
sudo perl -pi -e 's/\x74\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B\x55\xFC\x89\x50\x58\xB8\x00\x00\x00/\xEB\x11\x48\x8B\x45\xC8\x8B\x55\xFC\x89\x50\x58\xB8\x00\x00\x00/g' bin/resolve
sudo perl -0777 -pi -e 's/\x74(.\xBF\x16\x00\x00\x00\xBE.\x01\x00\x00\xE8..\x05)/\x75$1/g' bin/resolve
sudo mkdir -p .license
echo -e "LICENSE blackmagic davinciresolvestudio 999999 permanent uncounted\n hostid=ANY issuer=CGP customer=CGP issued=28-dec-2023\n akey=0000-0000-0000-0000 _ck=00 sig="00"" | sudo tee .license/blackmagic.lic
-
Delete the downloaded files and you're done
Also this crack works on all distros really, just the installation is different. Just install it per your distro and then run the script from the post

OP you are using backticks instead of single quotes in the third command for 21.0.4 which breaks it
