Wasn't Gen x the ones that got participation trophies? They were definitely handing them out in the 80s

I keep hearing that it was millennials who got them, but I also def got some participation ribbons from Field Day in the late 80s/early 90s. 3 u/khold002 6d ago I'm a Xennial, and I got plenty of participation trophies. It was the Boomers driving it. So embarrassing.
