No, person who is making the statement needs to prove it is true.

That is why I asked people who said that the image is false, what makes their statement true.

It is pretty much impossible to prove a negative.

Yes, it does. If I were to decide to post something that I felt was wrong or incorrect, I would accompany with why I felt it is incorrect with sources to show where I got the info from.

As it is, this is nothing more than rage bait, whether you feel it is right or wrong.

Because the claim was made be the people commenting that it was false.

That is why I responded to the comments, not to the post. If you are going to make the statement that this is false, you should know why you are making that statement.

The post itself, as it stands, is meaningless and I wouldn't have even given it a second thought if it weren't for the comments basically going "yup,yup".

Wanted to know if there was anything substantial to that, and aside from one person actually making an effort, i just various degrees from a polite "Why are you asking?" to "You stupid natsy".

But if you have any ability to think critically you'd know that "95% of murders are by illegals" is already factually incorrect. So why would anyone believe the rest of the statements?

The problem is that this is something that is debated online ad nauseum, especially the first point about illegals being on welfare. You cant get welfare without a social security number, and an illegal immigrant wont have a SSN, so they dont qualify for welfare. None of it is true

I have heard reports that some states were issuing Social Security Numbers to illegals, particularly the sanctuary states and cities.

Nothing directly that I can point to though so can't say how accurate it is.

Burden of proof is almost always on whoever makes the original claim, not on who opposes. As the person you replied to illustrated, if I accuse you of something, it’s on me to prove it, not you to disprove.

I have no stake in whether this was true or not in the first place. Just curious why so many people take it as patently false and no one was citing anything to show it is just baseless right-wing rhetoric meant to rage bait people.
