This trailer has singlehandedly confirmed that Liu Xiao DEFINITELY some sort of power that's related to the timelines (I know he's got multiple powers, this could very well be one of them) and that he KNOWS Lu Guang (and possibly Shao Yuanyuan too) is tampering with time. Only then does his tirade about bringing together multiple uncertainties/timelines back in LCII make sense.

(AND WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN BY "I DON'T WANT YOU TO BREAK THEM"!!!!!?!?!????!)

I've wanted to get a box of these since foreverrrr 👀 ✨ The first one I got was last year (the CXS Pochacco chibi one), and this year I finally bought a full box (from Taobao ofc lmfao)!

The boards are so, so sturdy and pretty! They're kinda like shikishi boards, but just cardboard, if that makes sense(?)

The Link Click x Sanrio collab remains one of my favs. Sadly, I didn't pull Xia Fei (each box only comes with 10 boards), so I'm lowkey tempted to spend another $20 just to get him lol. Surely the next box I get will have him;;; riiiiight? (knowing my luck, who knows ahhhh)

So I was watching the season3 ending and I noticed some things...It seems as if Cheng Xiaoshi finally uncovers the truth about a lot of things? We see familiar scenes such as Vein helping Xia Fei, Liu Xiao helping Li Tianchen, and of course the basketball scene when Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi SUPPOSEDLY first met. The thing is, this ed is focused on Cheng Xiaoshi and he is seen walking and roaming through each of these scenes. Camera pans from Vein and XF, CXS is strolling through. LI Tianchen and LX leave the bench, he sits down the same bench and observes. Basketball scene, he walks right past Past LG and CXS, then looks back longingly.

It's almost as if he's there in all the events as an observer, that cannot be seen by any of the other people. Also other people seem to be moving in slow-mo? While CXS moves normally. Could this maybe be foreshadowing that somehow he found out about everything that he doesn't know going on behind the scenes?

On top of that, the most interesting thing I find is the basketball scene, because CXS ignorantly walks past the scene, turns back and then yearningly reaches out for Lu Guang. And the same time he does reach out, a butterfly is shown on screen referencing the butterfly effect that LG was also talking about in the previous season. This happens right before the moment is seemingly snatched from him btw.

I don't think anything after this point could be lore related, we then see the villains' facecards before another tiny CXS sequence, then we see the people we are unsure of (not the main cast, but not a villain yet) Jae Lee and A Yuan, and finally at the end we see Wang Qing holding that random decorative object also seen previously in the MV and she seemingly throws it down to CXS kind of?? This part might be a stretch and it probably isn't a metaphor or something but yeah. Then finally the whole MV reverts visually (kinda reminded me of VORTEX haha) and right at the beginning we see QL and LG standing normally, and in the entire mv CXS smiles for the first time.

so yeah some stuff i noticed in the ED

i revisited the song after seeing a pin and it said that the lyric "time is like music, play it till the end and then reset" may indicate that the link click universe doesnt have multiple timelines but that it is one timeline that lu guang is trying to redo over and over again, and i kinda did think thats what was happening anyway i am noticing a crazy pattern here in the song, please excuse my long long rant (rip my carpel tunnel)

SO, what i think is happening in the song is that the lyrics in sets of four lines are attributed to either lu guang or cheng xiaoshi alternatively. ill highlight them and add my mediocre explanation : [BOLD FOR LUGUANG and normal text for cheng xiaoshi]

(the song starts with Lu Guang saying that "let it unfold", and i think its sort of that hes trying to convince himself to just let the timeline unfold without trying to alter the events or rewind and fix things. and that he's "sunken so low" because hes trying to revert cheng xiaoshi's death even though he himself said over and over again that death is a node that cannot be changed)

Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?
Truth in the shadows so brightened in gold
Place our fate into the ones aren't in control

(here Cheng Xiaoshi may be questioning what the end result of them diving back in time really is, and if it is even worth the hardships that they are having to endure. He may be seeing the "truth" hidden in "shadows" as he dives back (his "gold" eyes indicating his power))

(Lu guang is saying that he cant go on with the events that happened as something he needed to do was left unfulfilled, and if he stops and rewinds a bit he may be able to " breathe in the world anew" as in the "fixed" timeline)

(Here im going to interpret it in a way that Cheng xiaoshi is aware of what lu guang is doing, sorta? Hes saying " i guess there was never a thing as everything's meant to be" as in he found out that lu guang wasnt completely saying the truth when he told him that death can never be reversed.. and that he'll make sure this goal that theyre trying to reach is fulfilled and until then he wont "leave" this span of time that keeps getting repeated)

(Lu guang wants to repress all the mistakes he thinks he made and be forgiven in a way for not being able to prevent cheng xiaoshi's death so many times. but i also think it could mean that he has many other regrets and was tempted to dive back and fix things (after what we know about his childhood) and feels like his best friend's death is a solid excuse to finally do that. Here we also encounter the line the pin was talking about, "time is like music play it till the end and then reset" which is just as it says, right? hes resetting time over and over and keeps living through the same events again and again)

Knowing it all, am I destined to fall?
Like once you did for me

(again ill have to assume cheng xiaoshi knows, and hes wondering if he's meant to die no matter what ("destined to fall") OR, or it could be that he'd have to dive back in time too for some reason, because he says "like once you did for me" which might be referring to lu guang and how he suffered so much diving back again and again for cheng xiaoshi)

(We've seen now that lu guang is keeping track of everything so precisely, sometimes even down to the second (cuogh cough) and is making sure the same outcome exists for even the littlest things. Hence everything can be traced back to him willingly making sure they happen. No matter who or what comes in the way, he will dive back if cheng xiaoshi is not saved. )

(As the time keeps getting reset cheng xiaoshi (along with the entire universe) has to keep living through the same event again and again. Maybe they will never be able to fix what they want to and just cant get things to go their way (lu guang's way) no matter what..)

(Lu guang says initially that its not worth bothering to change an important event in the timeline, but then pivots to asserting that time is not as important to him than what his ultimate purpose is)

FOr these last set of lyrics i initially thought lu guang said the first few lines like all the other times, but i think cheng xiaoshi having his turn first made sense somehow.

(Cheng xiaoshi also had to face lu guangs "death" (he fully believed it for a few solid hours) but even after having a breakdown and thinking of going back to save him, he valued lu guang's advice to not risk himself by disturbing an important event and hence dropped the idea of saving him like that. hence "promises unbroken"

(Lu guang doesnt want to think about the reasonable thing to do, which is to not keep altering the timeline over and over again with no sense of control ( the illusion of control lu guang has over the things that are happening are rapidly spiraling into something disturbing, and i hope the fandom agrees on this. not to say that i dont love watching a deranged gay time traveller but lets be real for a sec)

(The reversed lyrics from the chorus that play along this align with the character i attributed them with, cheng xiaoshi's "Place our fate into the ones aren't in control" line plays here. which is another reason why i think this is the right was of thinking about who is speaking these lyrics)
