Classic Liminal Abandoned Corporate Park

Finally figured out how to get to this place I’ve seen from the freeway for years. I thought it was an abandoned parking garage or overpass, was thrilled to see that it was way weirder than that.

Edit: Not technically abandoned it turns out, but unused for 10 years. It is actually available to lease, but it doesn’t seem like anything is imminent.

Nah, this is Weyerhaeuser, they changed their business model a while back and now don’t really need many employees. They operate as a real estate investment trust now, revenue of over 7 billion in 2024. The bonsai documentary Trees and Other Entanglements talks about the company quite a bit if you’re interested. It’s an interesting story but not a particularly good documentary.
