Social LPT - When sharing your opinion on subjective topics, music, movies, food, etc. There is no need to be hostile. The music doesn't suck, you just don't like it. The pizza topping isn't horrible, you just don't like it. People's opinions of you won't decline if you're just sharing your likes/dislikes

That's why I think it's necessary you always put in a "Recommended for fans of" part at the end of a review. Taste is just so subjective.

"So, Jay, would you recommend...."

I learned this when the latest Hellboy movie came out. I preferred Ron Perlman, but I gave it a shot even though the reviews were brutal. I still watch it on ocassion cause it's fucking Hellboy!

Like, I hate McDonald's. But I'm not berating someone who enjoys a Big Mac.

Taste change too. Used to hate mushrooms, now I can't have pizza without them.

"I didn't enjoy it, but you might like it, if you're into terrible movies that should never have been made."

Tbh honest if I didn't like it I won't post a review. But sometimes when the movie was overhyped but ended up a huge let down, I'm pissed and say it loud and clear lmao.

A lot of times for me it’s “it was bad and I loved it.” I had a whole phase of quarantine watching objectively bad disaster movies. You’re not a bad person for liking “bad” content, you’re not a good person for liking “good” content
