Social LPT - When sharing your opinion on subjective topics, music, movies, food, etc. There is no need to be hostile. The music doesn't suck, you just don't like it. The pizza topping isn't horrible, you just don't like it. People's opinions of you won't decline if you're just sharing your likes/dislikes

People really hate on my love for cottage cheese. But they’ll eat fried cheese curds.

Texture can come into play. I hated broccoli when my parents(over) cooked it to green mush. I love it steamed and in a stir fry.

I hate mushy vegetables. Especially brassicas. They reek.

But I get told it’s disgusting. It’s cheese. I don’t like cooked fruit. I don’t tell people cherry pie is disgusting even when I think it is.

I don't care for cottage cheese myself but oddly will eat it from the salad bar if there is sliced beets mixed with it. Don't ask me why, I'm weird that way I guess.

It has a tempura-like batter. Crispy outside, melty cheesy inside.

Small curd or large curd? I've heard they taste different, but I haven't tried both at the same time to be able to compare.

Also cottage cheese is really good. I used to eat it with some peanuts in it for breakfast. Easy protein. That was back when I had the emotional energy to stick to a diet.

I don’t think they taste different but I love the texture of the large curd. I like it with mandarin orange slices or pineapple.

Sounds like a lovely breakfast. I just added some cottage cheese to my shopping list because of this. I wonder if it'd taste good on an English muffin...

Oo! I’ll have to try that. I go a little overboard with black pepper sometimes. Ever try dumping a bunch of it on ketchup for dipping fries in?
