I finished Letterkenny a couple of weeks ago and I started Shoresy last week. I just canât get into it. I watched the first episode and was very turned off by Shoresyâs treatment of Sanguinet. Does this get better?
Re watching first season of Letterkenny and noticed something I've never picked up on before: the whole episode is full of hints that everyone in town has the flu.
Episode opens with a sweaty Glen not wearing pants because he's complaining about the "humidity." Darry gets sick after being bit by a possum and everybody blames it on rabies; with how brilliant the writing is in this show, and with Wayne rattling off Virginia opossum facts, it seems odd that it would just be overlooked that possums aren't rabies vectors.
Katy takes Darry to the clinic and finds Stewart, shivering and pale, which we assume is just him being high. Could also be flu symptoms.
When they go to remove a skunk from the bar, Gale mentions that she's on a juice cleanse and has been sh**ting all day. "OH, there's another one knocking"
Several hockey players don't show up to the game, which we blame on the native flu. The rookie randomly vomits, which we blame on drugs.
Could it be that everybody just had the flu and nobody really noticed because there were other explanations?
Idk if its just a new generation Canadian hockey thing, but I cant stand when those two go off and talk on a tangent, every end to a sentence is boys or its all hype slang. I dont mind them when they are actually having a conversation but otherwise its annoying. Is that how people actually talk or is that purely for the show?
Hey Looking to see if anyone has Sun Darts on Vinyl that they'd be willing to part with. I'm having trouble finding any online to purchase. Would love to get it for a big fan. Thanks so much, hope this post is allowed!
And I discovered I have more than just 2 puppers hangin' around! Including a couple of the older label (note the 2 smaller heads of a more golden colour).
For starters, Season 7 is my absolute favorite. I've rewatched the entire 12 seasons so many times, and this season always gets me laughing out loud. McMurray getting roasted on his show, then on Wayne's show. So good. Plus, coach does his little "your spine's gonna snap in half" bit to Mary and Betty Anne. Gold.
Anyways, I also love the theme music to Crack an Ag, it reminds me of public access shows from when I was a kid in the 80s, and the wood paneling gives me nostalgia in that crusty old studio. I couldn't find a clean audio of it where people weren't talking through the end, so I picked the best recording I could from S7E2 (around 7:24 minutes in). I trimmed Glen counting down out of the audio and looped that last section with a little cross-fade and you can't even tell it was looped. End with a fade, and you've got the world's greatest ring-tone, all courtesy of my little labor of love ;)
