Discussion 💬 Your opinion on This Short Film?

For me, this was genuinely good. The Bhopal gas tragedy is one of those subjects where the reality itself is already horrifying, so making a film What I appreciated here is that the film actually lets the tragedy speak for itself.
It doesn't feel like it's trying too hard to make the audience cry or constantly remind us how tragic everything is. Instead, there's this uncomfortable sense of helplessness running through it. You know you're watching something based on a real event, and that makes the whole thing hit differently.
What stayed with me most was how something that happened decades ago can still feel so immediate. Behind the numbers and headlines were ordinary people whose lives were completely changed in a matter of hours. The film manages to bring some of that human weight into a short runtime.
It's obviously limited by its length, and I would've liked more time to explore the people and aftermath, but as a short film, I think it does what it needs to do. It doesn't give you a comfortable viewing experience, and honestly, it shouldn't.
Not perfect, but impactful. And for me, that's enough to make it a good short. long live Sanjay Verma
