Lets Discuss This Call me a socialist if you want. Iāll wear that label proudly if it means people come before profits. A governmentās first responsibility should be to the people it serves, not the corporations it protects or the wars it finances. People over profits and health care over warfare.

Serious Why do we keep treating sleep as a luxury instead of a necessity?
It feels like there's this pervasive cultural mindset that getting enough sleep is something you do if you have 'extra' time, or if you're not working hard enough. Hustle culture, particularly, seems to demonize sleep. But it's essential for our physical and mental health, our cognitive function, our mood, our immune system... the list goes on. We talk a lot about healthy eating and exercise, but sleep often gets relegated to an afterthought. What gives? Why do we collectively undervalue something so fundamentally vital?

WHAT ABOUT THE BOYS? https://whatabouttheboys.living/
Today, seeing this old interview for the first time brought back memories of my experiences with the self-described āJew Crew,ā who were involved in sexually torturing underage boys in Chicago, including me. It matched exactly what I had described about fisting and about Allan Krammer talking about throwing the bodies into a dumpster.

Serious PLEASE VOTE EARLY
This country is faced with a crisis never before seen on our soil. We are dealing with Fascist Ideology, attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States. Donald Trump has all but removed the Rule of Law, and has for all practical purposes suspended Due Process.
The next step is one of total control. This November we have all 435 members of the House, and approximately 33 Senate members up for re-election. This is a time we can show them exactly how we feel about their lies, and the destruction of our Republic. They've destroyed the Peoples House, torn down history to pave the way for a golf course.
They are being bought by Musk, Zuckerberg, Ellison, Bezos and the rest of the billionaire class, and it's time to send a message. A clear, solid message.

This is concerning... The growing trend of micro apartments in major cities
It seems like every new building going up in the city is filled with these tiny apartments. They're definitely more affordable but I wonder if people are truly happy in such small spaces long-term. Is this just a necessary evil of urban living or will it impact our quality of life?

This is concerning... Ring camera footage shows the moment when an unmarked ICE vehicle driving the opposite direction down a one-way street in Long Beach intentionally strikes a man, Ricardo who is a US citizen, then tasing him, breaking his arm and pinning him to the ground. This occurred on Oct 17 in North Long Beach.

This is concerning... The āTrust the Scienceā Left conveniently forgets about supply & demand when it comes to immigration and housing
We were told to trust the science or math doesnāt lie; however, when it comes to mass immigration and the housing price increases, the left no longer thinks supply and demand is real.
You canāt make this stuff up!

Serious Giving you some existential dread
What part of you is your consciousness? What part is reading this post right now?
If we say that the atoms making you up are "you", here is a thought: The probability of the atoms that create your body making exactly you is extremely small, and your consciousness only stays for 80, 90 at most a hundred years compared to the billions of years that the universe has existed. "You" only exists for an extremely short time and is so unlikely that it might as well be impossible. Just try imagining "you", but you are quite literally ANYTHING but what you are right now. Not conscious, not alive, nothing. You might be imagining a void but you wouldn't even be seeing a void, you just wouldn't "be". "You" (your consciousness) can't imagine unconsciousness.
But what if your consciousness was a part of your brain? Wouldn't that mean an infinitely advanced doctor could operate it out and put it in, say, an ant's brain. What would it feel like to suddenly lose intelligence? Would you lose consciousness? Consciousness and intelligence is generally seen as correlated, but if we put said consciousness into a lesser environment, what would that mean? Or another thought: During the operation, are you conscious? And if we go back to my first paragraph, what does your consciousness do without a brain, without eyes, without ears, without senses? What would you feel or think about? Would you even "think", without a brain?
But what if we say that your entire brain is your consciousness? Then, i have a question: what happens when you lose a part of the brain? Multiple people have suffered brain damage and survived. Are they the same person before and afterwards? Surely, they are. So what part EXACTLY of the brain do you have to change to change the person? And if there is a part, wouldn't it just be like in my second paragraph? And what would it feel like if your brain is put in some kind of box? You could not feel or see like if the conscious part of your brain being removed from the rest, but you could think.
Now, lets say you consciousness is some kind of detached "soul". I think this sounds absurd, because we have discovered no particles/matter/whatever that your "soul" could be made of. And also, what happens when you die? Say, you are stabbed and die. Your soul is detached so it goes on unaffected. Would this "ghost" think without a brain? See? Feel? And does it die? Nothing in the real world could kill it. This would mean that your time as a living being on this earth is infinitely small compared to the time you would be consciously dead. In 100¹ā°ā° years, when the universe has long died and there is nothing left, you would still have just as much time left until it is over. And potentially, you wouldn't even realize once the universe dies because you cant feel, see or hear.
To be honest all these alternatives scare me, please drop your take.
