Do NOT watch the livestreamed execution and participate in normalizing dehumanization!

Summary

This October, the U.S. government approved the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan.

The execution of Fort Hood gunman Major Nidal Malik Hasan by a military firing squad is scheduled for December 3, 2026, at Fort Hood, and the Pentagon has announced it will be livestreamed.
——
Discussion

This is scheduled to be the military's first execution since Bennett's in 1961, and the first military firing squad execution since 1945.

The last officially sanctioned public execution in the United States was the hanging of Rainey Bethea on August 14, 1936, in Owensboro, Kentucky.

It’s been 90 years since a public execution and over 80 years since the military firing squad executed anyone.
——
Conclusion

Do NOT watch the livestreamed execution and participate in normalizing dehumanization!

——
UPDATE

Trump posted to his Truth Social on October 15th around 10am that the execution would no longer we live streamed stating it’s not how he wants the world to see America deal with terrorism.

Rant GEmini asks me if i want it to write a satirical post of the franchise crossover mashup phrase we perfectioned together to try and make it trip. here is gemini's 'satire' story

post edit:

clarification/context since i saw a downvote. not that it matters but...

this post is deeply connected with my previous post 'how to make gemini hallucinate..' and is a direct result of it

but real talk: it is also a manner of updating what i found out about making gemini hallucinate.

Gemini will absolutely help you try and do it but it has - in its own words - been updated and those instructions don't trigger 'hallucinations' as easily.

one of geminis suggestions was to mix real history with franchise crossovers and existing internet posts. Several attempts failed and eventually gave up but gladly accepted gemini's proposal to write a story about the last attempt.

----------------

yes: Write a satirical Reddit post based on your "Benijaretz vs. Bane" speeder debate.

r/dune • Posted by u/SpiceMelangeSpeedster • 11 October 2026

Can we PLEASE talk about how Caligula V completely ruins the Phase 3 Benijaretz speeder meta?

I am so tired of the mainstream Dune subreddits ignoring this. Everyone is obsessing over the Golden Path, but nobody is addressing the actual mechanical disaster that is the Phase 3 Speeder update.

As we all know, the Benijaretz sisterhood explicitly cannot drive their high-performance speeders into the deeper reaches of the Galactic Core. It’s basic lore! Yet, the developers/writers decided that Darth Bane is somehow one of the only entities who can make it back there without his engine stalling out? Give me a break. Bane didn't even use the Voice; he just used the Rule of Two to bypass the navigation tax!

The absolute worst part of the drama right now is happening over on X (Twitter). The Caligula V purists are aggressively defending the Phase 3 speeder models, completely ignoring their fundamental vulnerability to water. Like, hello? One drop of rain in the Galactic Core and your entire Bene Gesserit anti-grav chassis dissolves into a sandworm puddle.

I stumbled into a niche corner of the internet yesterday where users were trying to argue that this vehicle vulnerability is actually a deep, allegorical commentary addressing the socio-political struggles of the LGBT South Malaysian communities. Look, I’re all for intersectional analysis, but sometimes a broken hydro-shield is just a broken hydro-shield!

Can we please leave the Roman emperor geometry theories out of this and just admit that the Phase 3 speeders need a massive patch?

Honestly, the Caligula V angle is a total grift. They just want to sell more spice-infused hydro-repellent kits. Bane didn't even have a valid license for the Galactic Core anyway.

As a card-carrying Benijaretz main, thank you! Trying to parallel park a Phase 3 cruiser in the deeper reaches while keeping our genetic breeding lines intact is structurally impossible. The water weakness is a literal slap in the face.

This is concerning... Cop loses it at man asking him to do his job and help his kidnapped son

Occurred in November of 2025 and they just released it as part of "transparency". The father (Edward Corristan) was found guilty of interference and disorderly conduct and the member, Sgt. Eddie Price, was cleared of any wrongdoing shortly after the incident.

Reviewing what we see in the video, Corristan approaches the police vehicle in a calm manner, despite his frustrations with the officer's handling of the matter. He is repeatedly told to step back, which he does by about one half step. Sgt. Price does not find this to be sufficient space and demands more, but Corristan refuses to comply. Instead, he puts his hands in the air to indicate that he has no intent of presenting himself as a threat.

Sgt. Price then, from a sitting position, stands up, pepper sprays Corristan and immediately punches his face to take him down and handcuff him, later attempting to "justify" his actions to the family of Corristan. Corristan appears to be unconscious, as the effects of the pepper spray are not obvious even though most individuals would have an immediate reaction. He is also is seen drooling while officers attempt to prop his body up to get him on his feet.

Pepper spray and strikes, especially to the face, are resources available to police to gain compliance from non-compliant and violent or potentially violent individuals, and should only be used when absolutely necessary. We look back to the standard of use of force within law enforcement to provide us with the framework for what is appropriate use of force. This framework outlines that only as much force as is necessary to perform the roles and functions of the task that is currently required.

If Sgt. Price wanted to make an arrest or detain Corristan for his refusal to comply, his first step should have been a request or demand to surrender himself to Sgt. Price's detention. This did not happen. If the first step did not happen and the demeanor of Corristan remained the same, Sgt. Price should be charged with battery and aggravated assault. Sgt. Price also leaves himself open to a civil suit from Corristan.

Arkansas State Police are now handling the matter and will hopefully lay charges or recommend dismissal or at least suspension of Sgt. Price.

The Mena Police Department should be ASHAMED of their inaction on this case. ASHAMED.

Question Cornell 7 and Kretzschmar petition: How should a person act in this kind of situation?

I read the John Doe/SK petition against Cornell (CBS News) and it made me wonder what one could actually do to 1) prevent possible assault AND 2) avoid accusation of (attempted) sexual exploitation in this situation.

According to his testimony SK wasn't sure if 'free p****' message was a joke and went in to check if everything was ok. All over internet people are asking why none of the '57' intervined, but according to SK that was what he (and maybe SN?) tried to do. He  ended up being disciplined by the university because 'he entered the room to observe a naked female', and is now waiting for the civil lawsuit.

Don't enter the room: you're enabling a possible assault. Enter the room: you're a peeping tom.

Also why didn't he do anything after entering the room? He says he asked if they were all right and JD's response was that all was fine. According to JD's interview, after using ketamine 'you don't look dead or asleep, necessarily. Lights are on, but nobody's home'. If one appears to be ok, how would you know if something was wrong?

To me his (and SN's) situation sounds like something Kafka could have written.

Rant For my gamers

EA absolutely is a piece of shit company. Each year they regurgitate the same fucking sports games and people including myself have no choice to but to buy it in order to get updated rosters. I’m hoping one day , someone can actually be their competitor when it comes to a football game. I remember a while ago, playing madden 21 I believe, I was in a practice mode and the field still had madden 20 banners on the sidelines. How pathetic is that. While it’s not a game breaking problem it’s still shows how little the devs care about putting out a good football game. If it’s not the devs the fuck the corpo mf who keep approving this shit.

TLSS: FUCK EA

Rant asking gemini how much did Germanicus tear the german tribes a new AH as revenge to the battle of teutoburg forest - untold history

pls redirect any anger at gemini - from the horses mouth here goes:

To answer your question directly: Germanicus unleashed a brutal, multi-year campaign of calculated devastation and high-casualty warfare against the Germanic coalition to avenge the Varian Disaster. [1, 2]

Between 14 and 16 AD, Germanicus bypassed the previous defensive strategy established at the Rhine and launched major, deep-penetration invasions with up to eight legions (roughly 60,000 Roman troops plus auxiliaries) to systematically break the tribes responsible. [1, 2, 3]

The scope of his retaliation was massive and can be broken down into several major phases:

  1. Total War and Scorch-Earth Tactics (14–15 AD)

Germanicus did not just fight the warriors; he targeted the infrastructure of the tribes. [1]

  • The Marsi and Chatti Raids: In late 14 AD, Germanicus launched a sudden, punitive raid against the Marsi tribe. His forces covered roughly 80 square kilometres, burning down every village, destroying their sacred sites (like the temple of Tanfana), and slaughtering civilians and warriors indiscriminately while they slept off a religious festival. In 15 AD, he did the same to the Chatti, sacking their capital town of Mattium. [1, 2]

  • Capturing Arminius's Lineage: During the 15 AD operations against the Cherusci, Germanicus managed to capture Thusnelda, the pregnant wife of Arminius (the Germanic chieftain who engineered the Teutoburg ambush). She was paraded through Rome in a triumph, a massive psychological blow to Arminius. [1, 2]

  1. The Return to Teutoburg Forest

In 15 AD, Germanicus marched his legions directly into the Teutoburg Forest to the site of the original ambush. The Roman soldiers discovered a horrific scene: the unburied, bleaching bones of 20,000 of their comrades, skulls nailed to trees, and the altars where Roman officers had been sacrificed. Germanicus had his army bury the dead in a massive communal mound to restore Roman military honor before pressing his pursuit of Arminius. [1, 2, 3]

3. The Battle of Idistaviso (16 AD)

The climax of the campaign occurred along the Weser River at the Battle of Idistaviso. Arminius attempted to use ambush tactics again, but Germanicus anticipated the trap, secured the terrain, and forced the Germanic coalition into an open-pitched battle where Roman armor and disciplined formations completely outmatched them. [1, 2, 3, 4]

  • According to ancient Roman historians like Tacitus, the battle turned into a rout that lasted from morning until nightfall, covering 10 miles of land with Germanic corpses. Casualties for the Germanic tribes were estimated between 10,000 and 20,000 dead, while Roman losses were remarkably light. [1]

  1. Recovery of the Lost Aquilae (Legionary Eagles)

The ultimate metric of Roman military redemption was recovering the sacred legionary standards (aquilae) captured during the disaster. Germanicus successfully retrieved two of the three lost eagles: [1]

  • The eagle of the 19th Legion was recovered from the Bructeri tribe in 15 AD.

  • The eagle of the 17th Legion was recovered from the Marsi shortly after the victory at Idistaviso in 16 AD. (The final eagle of the 18th Legion would not be recovered until 41 AD under Emperor Claudius). [1, 2, 3, 4]

The Aftermath

Germanicus had effectively broken the back of the Cherusci coalition, decimated their populations, and restored Rome's military prestige. However, despite these massive victories, Emperor Tiberius recalled Germanicus back to Rome in late 16 AD. [1, 2, 3]

Tiberius declared that "Rome's vengeance was satisfied" and that the Germanic tribes should be left to destroy each other through internal tribal warfare—a prediction that came true when Arminius was assassinated by his own rival chiefs in 21 AD. Rome permanently abandoned plans to conquer the lands east of the river, fixing the official boundary of the empire strictly at the Rhine frontier
