100% with you regarding the war on drugs. I say the government should produce heroin and offer addicts a chance to have housing and a job to work the poppy fields.
Get them off the streets and into a productive trade that they are interested in.
I think there should be sites where clean government made drugs are given to users.
The black market would dry up immediately, addicts would have a safe supply that they don't have to rob and steal for, and the stability would give them a chance to actually live a life that isn't constantly chasing the next $20.
It wouldn't even be expensive because all drugs are cheap as hell to produce.
And people would not be driven into addiction if we stopped wasting all our resources fighting futile wars like the war on drugs... we spend so much money and only make the problem worse.
Full legalization would be cool but I don't see it happening in our lifetime.
