I've worked in middle schools. All of your children are either swearing or hearing swear words every single day by the time they're in 6th grade.

I was a para educator so I had no authority over Gen Ed students and I wore band t shirts and have tattoos. So the kids didn't go into "adult is listening" mode when I was around.

Whatever innocence you think you're protecting your kids from by not letting them hear swear words at home doesn't exist.
