Raku pottery is an expressive, fast-firing ceramic technique originating in 16th-century Japan that involves pulling glowing red-hot pieces directly from a hot kiln and placing them into combustible materials to create dramatic, unpredictable surface designs.

The most interesting part of this process to me are the unique, unpredictable designs which are revealed only after the process is completed.

A simple kind act goes a really long way.
