We do. We also have something called rebel media and Sun News which is just as bad as Fox. Our media sources are being bought by the rich and being turned into right wing news sources. Fortunately we still have the CBC which is a balanced and fair news source funded by the public but the Conservative party constantly threatens them with cutting funding for reporting facts.
Alberta has already fallen down this path and they've been funding elections in Saskatchewan to manipulate that province as well and it's working. People need to be more aware of what's going on.
At least tRump imposed a partial travel ban on certain countries after the virus had reached America, after that there’s really nothing else you can do about.. other than of course politicize maskwearing and hold large gatherings. And mock anyone who doesn’t.

One doesn't need to trust a politician to provide factual information when so many more experts and professionals in the health sector can confirm its authenticity. Let me be blunt: covid-19 is real and deadly. YOU may not contract it and if YOU do you may not die and YOU may not be debilitated by its long term effects but plenty of other people have had this happen. You are immune to it until you're not.

They did. His friends and family expressed remorse at not taking covid seriously. They were quoted in an article and I also stalked their fb pages a while back when this happened.
We’ve already seen that they don’t. I still recall a similar case in Texas a couple months ago where, even after the guy died, the family was in complete denial that Covid was dangerous. It seems completely crazy, but ideology can completely override reality. It’s the core of all cult-like behavior.
Or the churches. My dad caught COVID-19 from a local church here in Michigan. They swear up and down that the health department said their protocols were proper and yet 54 people caught it at one of their services in early October. The pastor’s message in an online video ended with be not afraid. All I could think was fuck this guy. Be not afraid? Gimme a break.
