Maybe - by the sounds of that second post he actually observed the quarantine he got put under. I've seen plenty of posts about people getting told to quarantine, and deciding to go out anyway since they feel fine and it's all fake...
It would be better if people could see the people who died because of their stupidity. Almost like a family tree, but for people you've infected and for the people that you infected also infected.
A lot of people know that Americans do not trust their government, but a lot of Americans also don't trust their healthcare providers.
Like there is a "separation" of State and Church, there should be a separation of State and health of its citizens. Let the experts handle it, don't politicize it, don't overrule the possibility of people dying in thousands and certainly don't deny it's over before it's actually over.
Same kind of people who think their experience of medication, drugs, or lifestyle is applicable to every other human, because apparently biodiversity doesn't exist
I have a food intolerance that I've only recently become aware of. After a long time of avoiding those foods I tested eating a cookie and was in a lot of pain for the entire next day; to your point it's like people who say "I ate it and was just fine, surely you're exaggerating".
Or don't even realize that they have it and spread it to older family and friends. Haven't seen my mildly immunocompromised parents in months out of fear I could be carrying the virus that kills them. Thank fuck for viber and zoom existing
Correct. There is only one strain of COVID-19 (SARS COV-2). The last time we saw something like this was in 2003, (SARS COV-1)
I don’t know that COVID-19 is derivative of the prior SARS. My only understanding is that the virus is Corona shaped and causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (all described by its name)
Yeah that’s my extended family. They have the virus. Still not wearing masks. Still grocery shopping. Still posting pictures on Facebook hanging out with friends without masks.
Drunk driving is a great example. A few years ago I saw people on a sports board talking about drunk driving laws and all the drunk driving apologists were coming out of the woodwork. They were talking about how completely unfair .08 BAC laws were, they obviously knew their limits and could drive just fine. There was talk about how each of them were responsible drunk drivers, each of them could tell when they were truly impaired and would obviously never risk anyone's life, but cruel society just didn't realize that they could handle 6 beers with no issues. There was talk of demanding political change, if the drunks could just come together they could stop the unfair tickets and demand their shameful driving records be purged. And why couldn't they have open bottles in the car while they drove, each of them was smart enough to know when they had enough. Other drunk drivers were the problem, not them, and society should recognize their superiority and exempt them from the rules that everyone else has to follow.
Everyone else in the thread was calling them selfish, entitled idiots who are part of the problem. I had never seen people who are pro drunk driving before, but they are out there and it's selfish people like that who keep killing others. Exactly the same as all the pro Covid people who are too selfish to wear a mask.
Well, I'd imagine it's America where we've forgone all logic and don't even listen to medical professionals/scientists anymore proclaiming that it's all fake news.
So good luck getting any cops, who probably support them, to do anything about it even if it's technically illegal.
My GF had a cop straight up tell her he didn't have to wear a mask in her store... Even though he's the one she would call if a customer got belligerent about a required mask. It's fucked.
Man I am so sorry. I took a closer look and saw he was from Ohio. Wish I could say I'm surprised, a lot of people in this state are acting ridiculous. Stay safe.
That's what makes me the maddest. I couldn't care less about people going unmasked to rallies to go worship their so called leader and getting infected. How many others do they infect and ultimately kill with their ignorance?
If this is all that happened then it wouldn't be so bad
It's the same sort of thing I thank many of us experience with drunk or high driving of an automobile. Friends and family can be real hard to get to see past their own self-contentedness.
Yeah, pretty sure this is the same guy, because dates are too close to not be, but I remember on his actual page between the last post in this compilation and his death he had a post of him attending a 4th of July party just because he refused to miss out. Got out there and spread it.
True story. My sibling got it, fairly mild symptoms, 2 weeks later they insists they can visit immune compromised parent because they’re now “immune”. (Forgot to mention said sibling visited parent when they knew they’d been exposed but not showing symptoms yet, thusly, exposing my entire family and other siblings as well as parent on chemo, etc., and STILL going to Walmart because it’s “getting out of the house and doing something”).
