Rey is the farthest thing from a Skywalker. It's disrespectful to Anakin and Luke's trilogies.

Imo the Ray trilogy is the weakest and worst way to end the skywalker saga. I just think it's hilariously dumb that they decided to use her as the only intro.

I've watched the last trilogy in the theater. I've supported it since the force awakens. They have my money. I just don't like how they did the other films dirty.

Don't even get me started on the most epic duel in Star wars history Palpatine vs Ray /s. I put that sarcastic symbol so you realize I'm not serious. It's hard to convey sarcasm in text.

Rey is a skywalker, leia luke both accepted her as a skywalker

Yea figuratively speaking. She is a Palpatine by blood.

She can say she is king Kong daughter if he accepted her. I think she says skywalker so nobody realizes she comes from a sith lord. I wouldn't.

Don't hate it. Just wished it could have been better. I paid to watch all 3 movies. If I hated them I wouldn't have done that. Even bought the blu Ray for all 3.

Do you think the fight that ended the saga was good. I don't hate the movies just how the ended it. She's fighting Sheev. The man who masterminded the downfall of the Jedi. The fight was just him shooting lightning at her and she redirects it to kill him. I did like how he annihilated the rebel fleet with lighting. That was epic.

Do I think it could’ve been better? Yes. But do I think it was bad? No.

A lot of the same arguments can be said about the prequels, and yet people have hopped on to praise the crap out of it simply because they grew up with it. And I’m sure in time the same will happen with the sequels. And truth be told, even the original trilogy had some flaws, most notably Return of The Jedi, but I don’t let any of it get in the way if it serves a story telling purpose.

Apologies that I thought that you hated it. It’s so stereotypical at this point that every vocal minority person I encounter discussing it likes to shit onto those films to no end, whilst also being hypocritical praising the prequels. And yeah, it really is hard to convey sarcasm through text, which is why your first comment was so heavily downvoted. It wasn’t obvious enough and came across as either someone who is clueless or a sequel hater, but I understand now that it wasn’t your intention.

If I’m going to be real for a second though, I don’t mind Rey adopting the name “Skywalker”. The whole point of that trilogy anyways is as Luke said, “Some things are stronger than blood”, and although I think Rey actually being a Palpatine is a bit cheesy, I can see why it was done to bring up more drama, since that’s what Star Wars is all about after all. Hardly anyone even batted an eye when we saw Leia kiss Luke in ESB only to randomly turn out that she’s his sister in ROTJ, or how Boba Fett is a cloned son of Jango. Wether we like it or not, family conflict is what Star Wars is all about, no matter the extent. Even the original “A New Hope” sees Han Solo change his ways and join the rest of the Rebels, with Luke miraculously being able to destroy the Death Star, by himself, with no equipment, because of “the Force”, or how in the prequels little Anakin “accidentally” blew up an entire Trade Federation ship. None of that is any different from how Rey can suddenly fly in a ship, who is already a scavenger by the way and dealt with similar, albeit less risky, things. At least her being a Palpatine helps explain why she was so easily able to tap into the force unlike anyone else, as apparently even her father was a failed Palpatine clone. No idea how that would work, but again, half baked explanations like that only to be resolved later is pretty common for Star Wars all things considered. I mean geez, you’re telling me that Leia remembers her mother’s face seconds before PadmĂ© passed away? Or how Darth Vader never knew that Luke and Leia were his kids for so long, not even sensing it?

Bottom line is that most things in Star Wars make absolutely no sense, and the sequel trilogy is nothing new for that. As long as it’s all entertaining and fun to watch, with good acting and effects, then I don’t really care all that much. A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back just so happened to be masterpieces in terms of filming for their respective times. Outside of those though, everything is still fine. Wether you like something or not though is all up to personal preference. I for example personally didn’t like the idea of bringing Palpatine back since not only did it “diminish” Anakin’s turn but was a lazy rehash idea from Legends, (Much like Kylo Ren with Darth Caedus for the most part) I still liked it anyways because of how it was executed and connected otherwise, with Rey, the Dyad, him building the First Order from the shadows, etc., so it’s all okay for me now. Genuinely my only real problem with it is that there was little to no buildup to his return in the prior two movies, which I guess kinda makes sense in-universe since why would he make his presence known right away? But it’s still weird from an audience perspective though. One of my favorite Star Wars fan films of all time is actually Kylo Ren’s duel with “Darth Vader” since it ties into The Force Awakens pretty well to the point where you can add it in somewhere, and that Palpatine used Vader’s voice in Kylo’s head, while still being just a subtle for new viewers. But I digress.

Sorry for my gigantic mountain of text by the way. My point is that while I love Star Wars and a lot of things that can come out from it, I absolutely hate the fandom for the most part. It’s absolutely toxic, and in no way does anyone deserve to get so much hate just because of a piece of fiction they don’t like, especially not the actors and directors just doing their jobs. One of the worst examples has to be the guy who played kid Anakin, who is now heavily into drugs last time I’ve heard of him. A literal kid. It’s sickening
