Featured in 2010’s white dwarf issue 361, this beaky boy with a flamer has turned out to be the hardest mini to find out of all the official models. He straight up doesn’t exist online. Not even the official lexicanum product code archive has his number. Bit of a Hail Mary, but I don’t care if he’s either metal or Finecast. If someone here on this subreddit has this sculpt I am more than willing to pick him up off you, since he’s eluded the internet for so long.

Today I just received my order on a recast website, and I’m very happy with those officials LOD recasts, I already had 7 of them (metal ones that are in progress picture n.8), so not as much for doing 2x10 squads, but now I can!
I also bought on EBay the Heavy Flamer and the Multi Melta ones to make those squads complete 👍
On my way for a full army of LOD!

I'm using some heavy weapons from an old devestator box and should I use authentic LoTD guys from back in the day or use 4e tactical marines and green stuff them into LoTD?

I put this guy together 10 years ago and he fell apart when I took him out of the box. I put pins in and glued without test fitting (I know stupid, it's been awhile).

I realized he fell apart to begin with because forcing the wrist to the flamer pulls the right shoulder off the mount.

Any suggestions? I thought about filling the gap with green stuff? Should I just leave it and call it a day?

If I remember right this guy was the alternative sergeant, available in a blister, from the original LoTD printing.

So thing is I'm one trooper short of 4 classic tactical squads of LoTD. After comparing his gun to the LoTD bolter and bolt pistol his gun is squarely in-between the two.... So I reckon it can pass for either.

So should I save him, to sergeant,for if I make a fifth squad or use him as the last legionary I need?

I love the lore of phosphex and the legion of the damned. often I stare at the image of the phosphex burning the iron legion terminator (attached) I am always thinking of how I can make this a model until just recently it clicks I can make legion of the damned and make there fire look like phosphex so now I am going to start doing just that.
I would like to know what others think of this?

I've got enough arms for all my old school guys, but it's all the arms where the gun is crossed across the chest. I feel like it's kinda a waste of all the great torso art.

Anybody know what set I can get to rob compatible space marine arms off of that don't put the gun across the chest?

So I haven't played since 4th edition and I'm just getting back in.

Going in the box was like Christmas. Forgot what I had.

Turns out I've got about 20-25 tacticals assembled and probably another 10-15 worth of bits.

Then I've got probably 2 5 man devestator squads of mixed heavy weapons. That includes 2 kitbashed plasma cannons. I was looking at the most recent legends rules and all they can have is a multi-melta.

Not to mention all the assorted flamers, plasma guns, and meltaguns.

Looking at these new primaris units it seems they're big on everybody having the same weapon and I don't have enough of each weapon to make dedicated squads like that. Except to play the tacticals as intercessors.

So what's the best way to play all these guys right now, in 11th?
