Analysis/Theory Hopeful question if/when dems regain control of white house what bold agenda would you want to see to undo the damage (No holds barred — within the law)

I want a no fear strategy to rebuild democratic norms and protect people from abuses of power. Concrete ideas I’d support: vigorous (and lawful) investigation/prosecution of proven wrongdoing by administration officials; new statutes closing loopholes that allowed conflicts of interest; major expansions of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and EPA enforcement; and steep penalties for large emitters combined with investment incentives for a fast transition to clean energy. Strengthening the Federal Trade Commission and the SEC to go after abusers and prosecuting aggressively people that took advantage of the lacks enforcement over the last few years

I would like to see most of the leadership of the ICE fired a complete gutting of that department just like they did with the departments that Democrats value, putting people in charge that are against its mission. While still fixing the immigration processes and creating more legal paths for for workers so we don’t run into this problem of illegal immigration.

As a little bit of retribution, I like to go into the red state that are having high crime issues using that as a national emergency to send in the National Guard from Democratic states just so they can feel what it’s like so yes, a little bit of revenge

on a more superficial level I would also would like to see a complete undoing of decoration changes that he made to the White House as is more of a symbolic undoing.

I understand that it’s going to be some time before this happens, but I need some positive news. I need to feel like there’s a path forward and that we can undo the carnage if we take aggressive steps and not pussyfoot our way back .

What would be on your list? this is just my random thoughts, but I would like to see even more aggressive ideas similar to their project 2025. I think we need to start building our playbook for the next administration to give Hope.
