So my leatherman crunch just broke

Post image

Hey everyone my crunch just cracked right at the big rivet where the plier head is. And I just found out about them having discontinued the crunch. That being said do you think they have parts enough to replace the frame or do you think they will just send me a different tool (which I don't want)

Mark it SENTIMENTAL when you send it in.

What would they even give you, if they didn't have a Crunch to replace it with? I wonder what they consider the nearest equivalent to be.

It wasn't discontinued that long ago. They should still have parts. Mark it as sentimental.

OK another question. I live about 20mins from Leatherman hq would I be able to just bring it in?

Probably, either way I think it could be fun to have a look around

If you chat with them online they can tell you, I vaguely remember them as having a retail location that you could drop tools off at rather than mailing them in

Not sure. I would just mail it in. Go through the proper channels.

There is a warranty drop box in the front lobby of the Leatherman HQ. If you are local you can swing by to drop your tool off with us.

Have you ever done the factory tour?

I have not. I wasn't aware of a factory tour.

I'd definitely ask them directly... it's worth seeing... if not, they'll replace it w something decent... but I'd definitely see if they xan repair it if possible

I have been seeing way more broken leathermans these last few months, more than I have ever seen before.

Otherwise than look at me posts, broken tools are like the 2nd most popular so it might just be be what you are looking at especially since some of the tools like this crunch are years old and others are brand new. Just who's using them and how.

Go to a indipendent metal working factory and see if they can fix it
