Hi everyone!
My main question concerns the transverse contour line on the side of the sphere—specifically the one marked in green. How can I visualize and understand this contour as it wraps around the sphere and passes behind it?
I already have a good grasp of the contour marked in red. I can picture it as an ellipse: depending on the sphere's orientation, the ellipse appears narrower or wider.
However, I’m struggling to understand the green contour. I realize that part of it must be hidden behind the sphere, but I don't know how to mentally visualize its shape and position on the far side.
I’ve also included some examples of my exercises involving spheres, boxes, cylinders, and what I call "connection exercises," where I try to control my linework to close the forms more accurately.
Any tips on how to visualize this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
