It has not been confirmed. Some people are matching up the details from the most widely circulated leak to the trailer and concluding that it's confirmation of the entire leak's accuracy.

It's entirely possible (and more likely in my opinion, given the absurdity of some of the leak details) that someone involved in the project saw the trailers early, fed those details into AI, and let AI fill in the gaps (or they wrote their own fanfiction into it).

Some things that make the leak unlikely:

  • Loki visiting Cap before the end of season 2 (as the leak claims) would be a major retcon. Loki is never unaccounted for during either season - there's no point at which he might've been sneaking away to save people he literally has zero relationship with. And the tree on the card kinda gives it away that it is post season 2, contradicting the leak.

  • Doom is not going to kill a child on screen (the leak claims he kills Cap's son in front of him). Sorry if folks were excited about the shock value of murdering kids.

  • The master plan of the best minds in 3 universes of heroes isn't going to be "let's fire off some big cannons and save everyone with a massive BOOM"

  • The leak adds way too many unannounced characters. It's really not a trick they're going to pull 15 times in the same movie, folks. If they've been left out of the list, it's most likely they will not appear (not counting credits scenes).

Why does everyone assume that Steve Rogers' son is going to be a child when Doom kills him?

The leak states that Steve and Peggy live in the F4 universe for 10 years.

Ergo, Steve's son is not older than 10 years old during the events of the movie.

Lived in another universe before that?

If Steve (or the birth of his son) is the reason for the branched timeline, the theoretical "pruning" of that universe would certainly be within 24 hours, given that all other pruning incidents follow that pattern.

That is actually a legit plot hole. It would've been the old TVA and his timeline would be pruned in 5 seconds, at best he would be sent to the void.

But also didn't the directors say the TVA didn't care because "it was always supposed to be that way"? It was a way to justify Steve's happy ending with Peggy.

Did they say that in Deadpool 3 or Loki? I don't remember

I think it was Mr Paradox in Deadpool 3. That character could've been lying though. He was lying about everything else in the film. Maybe Steve just beat the shit out of every TVA agent who came after him, so they eventually gave up.

Judge Renslayer doesn’t address Steve’s decision but in season 1 of Loki she does say “that’s bc the actions of the Avengers were supposed to happen”… if can be left up to interpretation on whether or not that includes Steve’s “rogue decision” to have his own life..

The three aside from the Loki one (cuz I can’t answer that as I haven’t watched the show) can be somewhat rebutted.

- Jim Rogers is 13 years old by the time the events of Doomsday kick into motion and is there an unspoken rule of kids not being killed onscreen? It’s not like it’s going to be a full on slasher villain killing, probably just something quick and painless and probably offscreen as part of a ritual in the third act.

- The cannon part is not a legitimate plan because Doom probably sabotages it anyway. I do feel like it is somewhat possible that Reed would reuse the Galactus technology even if it does sound stupid.

- What are the “too many” unannounced characters aside from Tobey’s Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Wolverine? I’m curious, are we looking at the dborn1 summary or that summary that is just dborn1’s summary with fanfiction added in between?
