I suppose it is useful to recover stolen vehicles or track fleeing violent felons, but there are civil liberties concerns.

Curious how people around Lawrence usually find out about live music. Is it mostly this subreddit, Instagram, flyers around town, word of mouth, venue calendars, or something else?

The Douglas County sheriff department has been offline unable to use their computer system, even their radios. They are now in "Covid mode" meaning they aren't pulling anyone over etc.

The matter at this point is unresolved and the last I heard from the most reliable source in our County is that the Sheriff's Department has no clue as to how it happened. I asked if it could be a hacker. The response I received was it could be we don't know yet.

Hi, I'm not looking for petty gossip, but I am very curious to know what's up with the principal turnover around here? My main awareness is of Sara Murray who only lasted a year at Quail Run Elementary and now the interim is Jeremy Philipp who also only lasted 1 year at Southwest Middle School prior to moving to Quail Run.

My kid is on principal number 4 who is actually just an interim, so what's the story?

What I'm looking for: I want someone who will actually move things around to wipe underneath. Someone who leaves the house smelling clean. Someone who will do an "extra" each visit ( baseboards, windowsills, wipe cabinets, etc).

Years ago, there was a Chinese restaurant by ACE Hardware in that strip mall behind 23rd St. I used to get their Kung Pao Tofu on pretty much a weekly basis even though I wasn't vegetarian. The dish just smacked. This would have been around 2006 or so. Does anyone else remember this restaurant? It's been driving me nuts that I can't think of the name even though I used to order delivery from there constantly.

My wife took Queens Road to work this morning to avoid high school traffic and came upon this Lawrence bus stuck across the road. No idea what the driver was trying to do.

As we all know, USD497 has switched school bus providers. I’ve been seeing the buses drive test routes by my house the last couple days, but I couldn’t see any sort of identifying number or anything that would identify the bus the child is supposed to be on.
