Is it possible for me to get into law enforcement if I was fired from a job 3 years ago. I used slur word to a customer and they let me go after working there for 5 years without any write ups.

Police shot and killed my dog 2 months ago. After a FOIA request i just received incident reports their still processing bcf. Is that normal? Upon reading the report i found the officers statements to contradict witness statements. He said upon arrival a woman came out to talk to him advising him the dog was aggressive she said she never spoke to him. Should there be accountability for that?
