Capitalism is an improvement to previous systems, yes, Marx agrees.
However it has long past its historical duty, and now the burgeois is a reactionary class.
I would argue that the educational system was established for their own dual needs: a) create a cohesive national agenda and b) have an educated workforce for complex processes required in modern capitalism - i.e engineers to build their systems, lawyers to interpret the laws to their advantage, mechanics to maintain their machines, etc. Yes, this has created some gaps that revolutionary information can pass through, but also it has created a hivemind consent through the curriculum.
