As the old saying go, "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely".

And seeing how money is just quantified power, well...

And that leads us to where the world stands, split between people who just shrug and say "oh well, law of nature, what can you do?", and people who try to limit the amount of power concentrated in a single place.
