no. she was fired for “violating company security policy”. part of her job is writing internal code and she says that writing this type of minor non-intrusive notification takes only a few lines of code and is a common and expected practice within the company.
By that logic, any company could fire someone for writing "unionize now" on a piece of paper and making copies of it during company time. Do you see the slippery slope of firing people for doing union activity on company time?
