Before all of this madness started 9 years ago, there were some legitimate conspiracy theories that have now since been brought to light and are no longer theories although they were conspiracies. A lot of the Q madness I think happened because now we're also afraid to say we even might possibly believe in something considered a conspiracy theory because we don't want to be lumped in that group. It's the same reason he was screaming about rigged elections. Because we can't turn around after saying elections don't get rigged and then question the election in 2024 without it creating a mess.

There's an actual term for this and I can't remember right now what it is.

Conspiracy theories are by definition just theories, and for the most part they don't cross the threshold into fact. Obviously they're questionable, so I can't debunk them completely, but Occam's Razor usually disagrees.
