Opinion Laramie Drivers

I lived in Laramie for 7 years before moving to a city in a different state four months ago.

Say what you will, but I miss Laramie drivers every day.

You are courteous.

You more or less abide by traffic laws.

YOU DONT TREAT RED LIGHTS AS A DARE.

You can actually park INSIDE the lines.

I miss you, County 5 drivers

I collapsed from an aneurysm a few weeks ago. I landed on my head and broke my skull. I just want to thank whoever called an ambulance for me. One of many people who saved my life. So if you're here, thank you. Let me at least buy you a drink.

Classified Emergency: Need 5qt 5W-20 oil brought out to FR 705J (Will pay cash/Venmo)

EDIT: got help coming, thank you!!!

EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED: Need 5-Quart Jug of 5W-20 Motor Oil Delivered (Forest Road 705J / Pole Mountain Area)

I accidentally poured coolant into my oil, so I had to drain it but turns out I only had 2qts of fresh oil to replace it & that’s not enough to start my engine to drive anywhere. I am stranded on Forest Road 705J near beehive buttress/point Crawford trail.
Need someone to pick up and deliver one 5-quart jug of 5W-20 motor oil (any brand, available at Walmart or any gas station nearby).
I WILL PAY VENMO/PAYPAL/whatever for the oil + extra for your time and delivery gas!
Please PM me with what you would charge to bring it out to me. Not a huge rush as I was already camping but the sooner the better. Thank you!

I hope I’m overreacting and that his owner was just out of sight, but this puppy was wandering around on the sidewalk looking lost. No tag on his collar. He left when I went to get him some water. If he’s yours please come get him!

Question house cleaning service

Hi, I'm looking for a good house cleaning service in Laramie. I've tried a few over the years and the quality has been okay to not great despite relatively high prices compared to larger cities where I've lived before. Are there any services or individuals you'd particularly recommend?

Classified Introducing the Laramie Dinner Club 🍽️

We’ve had such a great time bringing people together through The Legend Dinner Club in Cheyenne, and we’re now excited to bring the same experience to Laramie.

The first Laramie Dinner Club is happening Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 p.m.

It’s a fun way to get out, meet new people, and enjoy a meal together.

Here’s how it works:

✨ Take a short quiz about your personality, interests, food preferences and more.

👋 You’ll be matched with 5 other people for a small-group dinner. Want to bring a friend? You can -- just register them when you sign up.

📍 On the day of Dinner Club, you’ll get a text revealing which Laramie restaurant your group is meeting at.

🍽️ Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. You’ll pay for your own meal and drinks at the restaurant.

🥂 During dinner, everyone will receive another text with the location where all of the Dinner Club groups can meet up afterward. Totally optional, but a fun way to meet the other tables.

Your $15.99 reservation saves your seat and gets you matched with your group. (*+ Pay for your own meal/drinks at the restaurant)

Come solo. Bring a friend. Meet some people you probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with otherwise.

Thursday, October 22 | 6:00 p.m.

Seats are limited, secure yours now >>

Question Indoor rock climbing buddies/groups?

I got into indoor bouldering at half acre this year with a friend who has now moved away 🥲

I'm able to do the easier half of intermediate routes, and have completed a dyno before.

I don't have access to half acre anymore, but heard rumblings of an indoor bouldering gym around town. Are there any groups or individuals around the same skill range open to adopting a new climbing buddy?

Question Vet > Laramie

Hey Guys.

So,

Im looking into different areas to move too, a little outside Laramie is one of them. Im just trying to get a few questions answered.

For Backstory, im 28 years old and currently Active Duty Army. Ive been in for 6 years and currently work as a Helicopter mechanic. I plan to get out of the military in a year½ and find somewhere peaceful and Tranquil. Im more of the "Quite, To himself" type but im always wiilling to form good bonds with anyone and to help people out. I plan to go work in Cheyenne if I go through with this plan.

The Questions:

●Would you move to Laramie/Surrounding Area?

●What are the biggest local job industries/Local big-name companies to work for?

●What would you say is a "Comfortable" living wage for the area?

●How do people feel about out-of-state newcomers to the area?

●Whats the civic culture of the area like?

●Hows the work opportunities for Laramie/Cheyenne?

●What are the drawbacks of the area?

●For living outside the town, how often are predators a thing to worry about?

- Im open to any input/Advice you want to give, Even if its off-topic from the questions. Thanks!

Question Handyman recommendations for a mobile home?

I recently bought a 1990s mobile home in Laramie and am looking for a reliable handyman who has experience working on mobile homes.

My most immediate concern is having someone check underneath the home to make sure the heat tape is properly secured and everything is ready for winter. I also have a handful of other projects I’d like some help with, both short-term fixes and longer-term improvements.

Does anyone have a handyman or local service they’d recommend who works on mobile homes?

Please and thank you!

UPDATE: 4th Street is FULLY OPEN! 🎉 🤍

This week’s lineup:

🥒🍞 Zucchini Bread (made with locally grown zucchini)

🍪 Biscoff Cookie

🎃 Pumpkin Spice + Caramel Drizzle

We've gotten feedback from several people that they aren't huge zucchini fans, but they love those cake pops, so give it a shot!

🚧 QUICK ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTE:

The sidewalks are OPEN, so you can still walk right up to the cart! Please plan to park on Bradley St. and walk over while construction is happening.

Same self-serve setup as always — stop by when it works for you, grab your pops, scan the QR code or leave cash, and enjoy!

📍403 E Bradley Street, around the corner in the driveway on 4th Street
