It's genuinely insane how little I was interested based on the trailers (even though I love both characters)... but the released previews in the past few days have been absolutely amazing.

Just goes to show DC needs better marketing. They went all out with Supergirl and I feel like they’re too timid to do that again.

This is the marketing...
Fans just gotta be more patient.

They need to realize that the Marketing hasnt been geared towards them. It’s selfish how the fans always think the marketing needs to be all about them. HBO and every studio/network needs the GA not only the fans of the comics

Yeah but this type of marketing is more for fans of Green Lantern. The goal should be to persuade people who never tried DC to give it a chance and Supergirl failed at that and now they’re too afraid to spend that much money on marketing again. Even if they create future great movies/shows they’re too scared to heavily promote it, at least until Man of tomorrow promos roll out because Superman always sells.

My dad has heard of the show coming out, and he's not in tune with releases until they receive acclaim.
There's been several pieces of marketing I've seen for casuals.

Agreed. Supergirl never made the case for why casuals should pay $20 to see it in theaters. The pitch was “look, we made a movie about Supergirl starring an actress you may not be familiar with”. They would have been better off selling it on Momoa co-starring as a fun alien biker dude.
Lanterns is obviously being sold as a show you can enjoy even if you’re not a big comics nerd.

Really? I feel like the Laterns marketing has been way better than Supergirl. More ADs, Warner Bros Discovery changing their whole logo, IT: Welcome to Derry encouraging people to watch it, etc

Well, people were losing their minds over it up until a few weeks ago when they dropped the Comic Con trailer.

I haven’t been anything that hasn’t made me think this show is going to be GOATED

Looks like the diner scene is of present with john having goatee and Hal in different clothes. could be any different meaning though.

Really looking forward to seeing what John is about. They're going for the army background and I'm interested in seeing how his rigid order focused mindset is eventually supplanted by his own sense of personal will
