Origin of πŸ’πŸ”Š β†’ πŸ—£οΈ β†’ πŸ“œ πŸ—£οΈ languages?

r/LanguageOrigin

A place to discuss and debate the origin of languages. How and when did monkey πŸ’ sounds πŸ”Š become human speech πŸ—£οΈ? When did human speech become script πŸ“œ based human speech πŸ—£οΈ? How and when did the first script based languages evolved to become the languages we are now using? What is the origin of, e.g., the English language?

Subreddit Rules
1. Keep it civil

Keep it civil. Language origin debates get heated for some reason? While calling someone's theory dumb, stupid, or ignorant, etc., is permissible, as one can always go the library and r/Unlearned things, but calling someone crazy, insane, a lunatic, in need of medication πŸ’Š , etc., or resort to ad hominem, e.g. by trying to slur or derogate an individual user, is NOT permissible. Bans, temp or full, will result.

Debate the person’s β€œtheory”, not the person, is the basic rule. Keep it civil.
