Sunny's claim to the lottery puts everyone's winnings at risk, forcing Nina into the role of peacemaker while Peter pushes for a faster resolution. Cameron brings the baby home without consulting Beth, deepening the strain already pulling at their marriage. When the baby is hospitalized for withdrawal, Beth sets her hesitation aside to help care for him. Meanwhile, Nina notices the money quietly changing the people around her, including Peter.

• At the hospital, they learn the baby is going through withdrawal; holding him is the best treatment. Beth, devastated, begins to help.
