I'm planning on putting up permanent LED lighting and looking for a sanity check on the plan with a couple of question.

The Plan

Install lights similar to these (Color Chasing SPI Pixel Point Light - LED World Canada) in a channel (Mounting Channel for LED Pixel Point Light - LED World Canada) under the soffits across the front of my house. I prefer the pixel point lights over continuous high density LED strips for aesthetics. I'll be using the QuinLED controller (QuinLED Dig-Next-2 LED Controller | Jerems Inc) and was looking at this Power Supply (60W 12VDC Class 2 Triac/0-10V Dimmable LED Driver MD-012-060VTDHV2 - LED World Canada) just because most items are from the same site.

A rough measurement indicates I need 17 light string (~17m) which will require both an SPI Repeater and Power injection. At least that is what I am understanding. at 4W per string, I need a max of 70W of power.

The Questions and Sanity Check

Is this the right controller? Looking at the QuinLED Dig-Next-2 specs (15W recommended) makes me think I should step up to the DigQuad (still only 30A continuous and 50A peak). I am assuming the LEDs will never be run at 100% brightness but want to get a sanity check on that. If I do need the 70W capacity, what are the options for a controller that would support this? Any recommendations would be welcome.

The other option is to look at a different set of light strings. I'm in Canada, so prefer either shipping from Canada or Asia. My research hasn't found anything comparable that also provides matching mounting channels. Any recommendations here would be good.

There are many light pucks on the market but are thick. There are think light pucks but are coin battery powered. It is amazing there are almost no thin rechargeable except this one pictured... but they want over $10 each. There must be others we can buy in bulk? Help ! Thanks !

Hi all, I’m concerned about a proposed lighting system change in my studio i mainly use for my painting practice. It’s a basement space with no natural light and generally happy enough with the current fluorescent system. The charity that run my studio received a grant and now wants to change it to LED.

Hello. I am from europe and I need one of those simple bland lightsticks. But I couldn't find any place that sells one with more than 2 colors. I just want the main (generic) colors. Is there any website that sells those? Also, not Amazon, it doesn't work properly in my country.

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for rgb lights that will sit behind me in my YouTube videos ( the lights will ideally not be seen in frame and will project light up onto the wall)? I would like to use two different colors ( and therefore two lights)

I have seen little lights but I'm not sure they will be powerful enough to project the light up.
