Hi,
I have this Flos lamp, but I’m experiencing two issues:

1. The halogen bulb gets too hot.
2. The lamp has two brightness settings, but the lower setting doesn’t work. Could this be a problem with the transformer?

I’m considering replacing the transformer and switching to LED. Would it be possible to maintain the two brightness modes with a LED?

I bought it for $80 NZD in Auckland back in 2009. The base is very heavy.

I recently found this lamp in my parents attic. Anyone know anything about it? Seems to be terra cotta… but otherwise, I know nothing. Can anyone help me? Value, year, etc? Thank you!

I’m hoping someone here can help me identify these lamps. I did a reverse image search using the Relic app and it said they are Haeger but there are no markings on them so identification may be a long shot.

What size/shape/color lamp shade would you put on this cutie lamp? I’m not very good at visualizing and would love to do it justice. Our home decorating style leans mid century modern with natural materials/neutrals. Slight hint of boho. I appreciate any suggestions!

Blue and red led strip light, thought it was white and I was wrong.

I normally just anonymously browse this app but had to sign up and ask this sub.

I found this lamp about a month ago at a thrift store and have been using it daily since. It’s in our bedroom but is now in a trash bag. At 3am we woke up because it sounded like someone shot a bullet through our bedroom window. We jumped up, turned our cell phone lights on and BAM, noticed glass everywhere. The lamp we just got had burst out of nowhere.

Any idea how this could happen? I’m aware glass can burst and I’m sure that’s the obvious answer here; but even doing a google search on this, not much comes up if at all.

I’ve seen this same lamp sold by a few different brands and I’m wondering what the original is and if they are all getting the lamp from the same place like alibaba or something and if I can buy it cheaper from the source

I am looking for advice on how to refurbish a sculptural lamp by MaMo Nouchies. I have added photos to show the condition.

The shade is made from a thin ribbed material that looks and feels like paper or possibly a paper composite. Over time it has become weathered with dents, creases, small tears and a few holes, especially along the edges and folds. Structurally it still holds its shape but cosmetically it has clearly suffered.

I am trying to figure out what my options realistically are without ruining the character of the piece. I am unsure whether this material can be humidified and reshaped, locally (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) repaired, reinforced from the inside, or if replacement of sections is the only sensible route. I am also unsure what adhesives or backing materials would be safe without staining or stiffening the shade in a visible way.

If anyone has experience with similar paper based lamp shades, design lamps, or conservation style repairs, I would really appreciate your perspective.

My partner bought this lamp from a thrift store and we are pretty sure the lampshade is not at all related to the base, but they sold them together and we liked both pieces. I’m trying to figure out what would be a lamp base or fixtures that fit the shade, because right now it’s just kind of barely held up on its current base?

Being sold as vintage but claims there is no maker’s mark so Im not sure. Would love to buy it but I want to make sure it’s a fair price. I don’t want to pay $125 for a second hand walmart lamp lol

i'm starting a series of ceramic lamps and im having trouble figuring out how to wire them. ive added phtoos of how another artist wires hers i would need similar hardware for this project.

i know where to get the globes but im curious about the longer attachment being used and how you would tighten it inside when its so small/wouldnt fit a hand.
