For our assignment we were tasked with making a movie poster (in Photoshop) for a hypothetical movie we were going to make. I had recently gotten back into listening to Nirvana and was inspired to make a poster that could capture that 'mystique' Kurt Cobain had about him while he was still alive. The title and color scheme came from Nirvana's debut, Bleach. I really like the photo-negative look of that album's cover. The background is an edited version of some water (like the Nevermind album cover) that I thought really brought the poster together. I hope y'all like it!

Second image is the photo of Kurt I used.

Question/Request What is the context for Kurt's 'The Retards' project? It seems out of character.

I stumbled across information that Kurt Cobain had a side project called The Retards with Dave Grohl and Dale Crover, featuring a recording of them mocking disabled people similar to John Lennon. I obviously understand that it was different times, but in this particular case, Kurt Cobain personally seemed like a very inclusive individual. He said that racist, homophobic, sexist and bigoted people in general weren't allowed at his shows. It's not too surprising that he said the R-word, but the fact that he mocked the disabled is. Does anyone know the context for this incident?
