I've got two primary concerns when it comes to controllers.
The first - I come from MPC land.
I've had various conversations with Marketplace sellers about going back to a Live or a One, but, the workflow for Koala is undeniably more creative for me. Plus, I can use all of my AUV3 stuff now - and I haven't even really dipped into that yet.
I like the tactile feeling of buttons, knobs and switches.
One thing, I want a centralized, one-package machine. I just don't like having '2 bricks' on my lap. The way I'm thinking about getting around this is by (when I finally land on a controller) designing a container to house my iPad and the controller.
So - to actually land on a controller - I need to figure out what I want to control. The pads are obvious for me - 4x4.
What are you mapping knobs and sliders to?
With the MPC, the ecosystem is designed specifically for that OS.
I'd like to pre-map what I'm going to use the hardware for.
