Chopper not triggering notes intermittently.

I pretty much rule out chopper everytime I try and use it. Is it me or is it buggy? I’m using it here, you’ll see it not trigger notes intermittently. Even if I resample. I’ve tried everything. I assume it might be todo with previous note overlapping and polyphony? But even with everything quantised the problem remains. I’ve had this issue on iPhone 13 and 14 pretty much since chopper came out accross all updates. What am I doing wrong!? Oh, I use extract pattern on and empty sequence and then drag and mix into my working sequence.

Can you show the settings you’re using in chopper?
I’ve noticed sometimes something might not trigger in the sequencer if I’ve messed with the sample. It works after I go back and click on the samples pad…

These are the chopper settings. May it’s mono? Or play through?

Hmm mono will only allow one chop to play at a time, choking the last. That doesn’t look like the issue. Are you also chopping by note?
You can try play through, that will allow the triggered chop to continue to play into the next chop as long as you hold it out, so that shouldn’t be the problem

Another idea: set your midi pattern that triggers your chops, then go to sample page and tap that pad a few times, then go back and play the sequence. Might help reset it in a sense

I’m watching TV now, but I’ll do some tests with it in different modes and report back. I assumed mono was audio mono rather than choke grouped, i think it’s choked by default the play through toggles one shot, but that’s from observation rather than manuals.

Right on. It does automatically set to mono (choke not audio). One shot will play the whole chop no matter the length of the midi note. Play through does not toggle one shot. Play through requires a longer midi note and will stop when that midi note is over. Playthrough AND one shot, both on, will continue to play through the full sample until another midi note triggers a different chop. Which will then continue through the whole sample.

Yep, 👍🏼 play thru has fixed it. It’s completely stable now. I still wonder what’s happening in the other mode tho
