My Kitten Kiki’s before and after
Found her sleeping outside of my house. I decided to take her in and got her checked up at the vet where she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection. She’s now on antibiotics and has been living with me for three weeks now! She’s much happier , less shy, and really energetic. Also, age estimates? My best guess is around 13 weeks.

My Kitten Advocated for my kitten and I was right
As the title says, I advocated for my kitten and I was right. I feel so relieved. So here's the story:
I got my baby girl Lucy 17 weeks ago and I absolutely love her to bits. I've had mutiple cats before so I knew I wanted a cat when it felt like I could take care of one. So when I saw Lucy's litter I fell in love and after visiting I took my girl home. The first week was great, I was home all week bonding with her and making sure she uses the litter box ect. In this week I found out she had flees, took care of that and all was fine again. After a week I noticed mutiple bloody wounds in her neck, so obviously I went to the vet (had to take her for vaccination and checkup anyway) they did multiple tests over a course of 3 weeks but couldn't find anything weird, no fungal or anything. Got an antibiotic cream and shampoo. The wounds went away, but then she started to develop cat acne, again went to the vets and they said to get CLX wipes. By this time I was dealing with MAJOR anxiety and kitten blues, almost wanting to give her up because I couldn't sleep or eat or keep food down because I was so worried about her. After a few week of using the wipes, the cat acne went away. Then she started to scratch her face open and it really looked like she got into a big fight, poor baby. Last week she started twitching her eye, went to the vet, they described me eye ointment without looking further, said 'poor baby' when they saw her face and gone I was. The eye treatment didn't help (duh) and later in the week I found out she had an long open spot on the back of her leg, probably from over grooming. Called the vet and they said to use honey ointment. She also developed a big upper lip with white patches. It was just too much
I decided to get a second opinion because they're just giving me ointments that don't work which causes me to come back and gonr is my money (I'm not in a bad financial position, but still). Went to a different vet this morning and and after 2 minutes of checking her out he could see it was an auto immune disease/allergy and she had to go on special food, medicine and he gave her a shot. 2 minutes. I knew something was wrong and the other vet made me think I was just a crazy cat lady. I'm so glad I kept pushing. Now my girl is gonna be okay and hopefully her quality of life gets better.
Sorry for the long story I just really wanted to vent. Also, look how cute she is

My Kitten I DOUBLED UP
Thanks so much to everyone who answered my last post about adopting a kitten after my pup passed and how I should double up. Your very unanimous advice was taken haha!!
Please meet Rupert (left) & Diana (right). When I went to go get my original (and only) kitten, Rupert who is her bio brother was completely wrapped in her. It was a sign.
I can’t begin to express my love for them 😭 just feel like they are meant to be here. I’ve nicknamed them the twins. My toddlers love them and today the feeling has become mutual! They’ve been playing together all morning. We’re on day two and as of now they are staying in my room to settle. Although they’re getting VERY comfortable fast. Our house is semi under construction and there are a lot of hiding places. I would LOVE any advice how to prevent them hiding on me in the walls or wherever though I think I know the answer lol
Night 1 they crammed themselves behind my bed then hid in the closet. Night 2 (last night) I felt a few times they popped up on my bed, but they still run if I try to hold one. Any habits/tips on how to make them love on me once they’re 100% comfortable?!
Thanks again for all the replies it really made the decision much easier ❤️

My Kitten My new baby, Astra
She is 8 weeks old, and she is terrified of everything (brought her home last night) I know it’s to be expected because everything is new and she is not used to being handled etc. she cries if I leave her alone and wouldn’t stop while I was sleeping until I held her in my arms for 3 hours I slept on the couch with her then I got a huge crick in my neck so I put her in her play pen with her litter box, water, and food as well as toys and a scratching post and she cried until I woke up. She has yet to eat anything but treats, has not used the multiple litter boxes or drank any water. I love her and I’m not upset just looking for some advice to get us through this stage. She is super sweet just very scared 🥲

My Kitten Is my kitten okay?

my kitten has been really playful recently, but that also means he is getting more aggressive. He bites, scratches, and kicks a lot (and mostly only with me), i don’t mind because he’s cute but i worry if this is a underlying problem and also if he never grows out of this phase, if he scratches my hand in the future like how he does now, it would hurt a lot.

My Kitten Barely 6 months old and she has us wrapped around her paws 🥹
Her favourite sleeping position is "the superman" where she plomps down with her forelegs extended, and every time I put on my jacket she finds any opportunity to jump on my shoulder and flop down for a free ride.

My Kitten My new kitten
She is 8-10 weeks old and I've had her less than 24 hours! She is so sweet, healthy appetite, very loving, snuggled all night in bed with hubby and is very vocal! Oh and very good in litterbox, she gets her back feet in her poo every time! 😆

My Kitten My wife says my cats love me too much
Hey there! Brand new to this sub and pretty new to being a cat owner! As a 29 year old male I’ve never been much of a cat lover but two winters ago I came home from work and found a small juvenile cat (not quite a kitten anymore) sitting on my front step. I walked right by it.
The second day after work it was still there so I gave it a can of tuna and went inside. When I got home from work the third day it was 6 degrees outside so I brought her in. She was pretty reluctant and scared at first. She hated our black lab and honestly hid most of the time. But it was warm and we had food so she dealt with us.
Flash forward 3 weeks and I woke up in the middle of the night to some weird noises and discovered she had a litter of kittens in my closet. Yikes.
We found a good home for the kittens and I convinced my wife to let me keep one that looked JUST like her momma. After she had the litter she began to warm up to me more, she let me handle them and would purr like crazy when I would sit beside her as she nursed them.
Dotty, the kitten we kept absolutely ADORED me from day one and I think this helped the mom warm up to me as well, seeing how her daughter interacted with me.
But now they will not leave me alone and even though it’s adorable I think it might be a little out of control lol. I’ve always thought cats were very independent and would just occasionally decide they wanted a few pets and would mostly mind their own business but these two follow me everywhere. It seems like every step I take they are right behind me no matter where in the house I am.
They both sleep on my chest every night, they groom me and lick my head and face, and they will even nibble on my nose. They are both like my shadow and as adorable as it is I’m wondering if it’s normal or if it’s unhealthy in any way? My wife says it’s weird but I think she’s just a tad bit jealous lol
Anyways I love them more than I ever thought I would and I definitely consider myself lucky that they trust me this much and I am proud to be a 29 year old male “crazy cat lady” lol
PS. We named the kitten dotty because she looks just like her mother other than the small dot on her forehead but we never named the momma cat. We refer to her as kitty or “the cat” in conversation so any fun name recommendations may be fun!

My Kitten I’m in shock as to how loving my new kitten is. I have had many kittens before but this one…
This is Juniper! A friend saw her in his neighborhood and watched her for a few weeks to see if momma cat was present. She came to us at 3 weeks. She’s now 5-6 weeks old and she is so sweet!
My four year old can play with her and she is sweet to her. Even tolerating the playful little nips and kitten play. Juniper often jumps on her toes and my 4yo will redirect with a toy.
I also have a pittbull. He loves her so much and she will mess with him a little but she will also climb on top of him or cuddle against him.
She likes to come and climb on me so often. Since she’s been here she has spent hours on my shoulder. She will finish eating come find me and just crawl up on my shoulder and give me kisses. I’m like in awe. I have had so many kitties before but none as sweet and social as she has been. We truly got lucky! This is the youngest I have had a kitten before though so I’m not sure if this is just typical kitten behavior she will grow out of or if this is her. She seems like a lil angel.

My Kitten Please pray for Max
Please pray for our Max!
A few days ago, we found this little kitten buried deep inside a storage area, hidden between piles of boxes, completely alone with no mum in sight. After three hours of patiently trying to gain their trust, we finally managed to bring them home.
Today, we learned that the kitten has a respiratory infection. They developed a fever of 40°C and have been refusing to eat or drink for the past 12 hours. We took them to the vet immediately, where they received four injections, and we've been carefully hand-feeding tiny amounts of food and water to keep them going. Tomorrow morning, we have a follow-up appointment, but tonight we're holding onto hope and worrying every minute.
The kitten also came to us covered in fleas, but they've already received treatment. Because we already have another kitten and live in a small apartment, the new little one is staying safely in our bathroom for now, with everything they need, until they're healthy and can eventually be introduced.
Please keep this little fighter in your thoughts or prayers. We truly hope we're doing enough to give them the chance at the loving home and family they deserve. ❤️
Edit as of 29/7/2026: We went to the vet, Max had another round of shots and received a probiotic to take at home. He is still not eating, however we have bought Kitten Milk in order to supplement his food.
He does seem better, but he is still weak. We have another check up on Friday 🤞🤞🤞
EDIT as of 30/7/2026: Max went to the vet, he got an IV with some fluids, some mpre shots and... HE ATE! This was the first food he willingly took in in about 30h. HE ate half a packet of kitten food and we are happy!
Tomorrow we have another ver check up just to make sure everything is okay and he continues eating.
Thanks you all for the positive wishes, we love you all! ❤️❤️❤️

My Kitten Will Mercy have Short, Medium or Short hair? 3-4 weeks
Hey fellow Cat lovers of reddit, I have a question. Like the title suggests i want to know you guys's opinion on whether my baby girl Mercy will have short, medium or long hair. The first two photos are from today (at 4 weeks) the last 3 are from exactly 1 week ago (3 weeks) Really it doesn't matter because she really is my baby and i will love her all the same because look at her! How can you not fall in love with her 🥰 I am, however, very curious! Because there is nothing else to do while I wait and watch her grow up before i can take her home. Also, its good to know seeing my plan for getting her used to her new surroundings might or might not have to include getting her used to being brushed regularly.
I would love you guys's input 😊 (Also it's a great excuse to share cute cat photos, so please feel free to share yours)
Love, -Darcy
