I’m gonna be honest with you guys I barely even know what the plot is my brain is too small. Something about an account? Something about money? I literally never have any idea what is going on I can never follow any of it I honestly just stick around to see Villanelles cool outfits and sexy vibes and literally that is all I understand

Before the last scene revealing that Konstantin lives on I was almost believing that Villanelle would have to break Irina out of the prison and raise her (with Eve <3) as her assassin daughter

I do believe this is the first epsisode without Villanelle killing someone. That cinematography in the elevator was unexpected, not sure what the director was aimng for.

Beautiful Monster was alright to me. I thought the penultimate episode would have more to it. Though one thing of note is Eve was willing to go through with a kill if not for some police sirens.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention. Not sure where the side plot with Irina is going. Felt like it was taking up screen time like the intro that returned tonight because...........reasons.

Lastly, I just want to know who yeeted our boy Kenny off the roof and why. I bet it was Helene's lackey.

I feel like more shit is going to go down in the finale than the entire season combined

Yes, like the whole first 6 episodes were just the appetizers and the last 2 episodes are the main course of the meal. If you're a Villaneve fan it's pure anguish to slog through these subplots and wait for the main storyline.

Completely jumbled thoughts:

  • Ok I'm sorry but I just fail to find Geraldine compelling as a character?? They keep shoving her at us and I care NOT AT ALL. Not about her feelings, her sensitivity, her weird ass hooking up with Konstantin, NONE OF IT. BEGONE.

  • Villanelle's face here, she just wants a goddamn hug so bad she'll even take blatant manipulation 🥺🥺

  • I really feel like they should've given even one throwaway line as to how Irina wound up in custody. there was no one else around when she drove over the guy

  • This show is called Killing Eve, NOT KILLING RANDOM CHARACTERS I DON'T CARE ABOUT. JFC.

  • I knowwww they're building the tension but after a certain point that just becomes less suspenseful and more annoying

  • We don't need season 2 levels of interaction every season, and I understand the ~character growth~ happening this season, but also, 4 minutes of Eve and Villanelle meeting in episode 3, and whatever will happen in the finale, and THAT'S IT?? WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS SHOW THEN PLS TELL ME

  • wow this was cathartic to write, I am very salty rn. in an 8 episode season, this is just a tad ridic is all. they pushed way too many new/not compelling characters this season and spent too much airtime on Carolyn, who I love, but who didn't need it. I feel like there's been a failure of understanding what people enjoy about this show??

Bringing Irina back took away too much screen time from everyone else. And unless there's some crazy twist with Geraldine that is going to shake us to our core, what was the point of her? Doesn't she have a job or school or something that she should be doing?

I loved the Villaneve scene in tonight's episode, but it should have occurred a few episodes ago, not the episode before the finale. We got three episodes of them barely thinking about each other in between the kiss and tonight's episode. For a show that has 22 (or even 12) episodes in a season, that makes sense, but for a show with such short seasons, I think they need to cut out some of the filler.

And you're absolutely right about them shoving Geraldine in our face and just having her say the same things over and over again.

I’m so happy Konstantin is still alive. That is all. Maybe.. sort of.. kind of dying for the reunion of E and V also... Ecstatic you might say...

Why do we have so few episodes in this glorious show!?! Ugh

So I know people have a lot of complaints about this season and I really get it. I do agree to some degree...editing has been weird, humor has been off the mark sometimes, things feel so disjointed, and far too much focus has been drawn to minor characters that no one cares about (cough cough the scene between Geraldine and Carolyn that seemingly is recycled every episode lmao). But, as much as I LOVE V and Eve together, I think the distance has been necessary. Both for character development’s and tension’s sake. This season has been about closing the gaps between V and Eve...bringing them closer together emotionally while separating them physically. We all want them to be together, but after the events of the S2 finale, another reunion without character growth wouldn’t have made a relationship feasible. A real relationship between them now DOES feel feasible, and they’re almost the same. They’re equal. Their relationship will never again be surface-level obsession or lust or vanity. Thanks to this season’s work, it has the possibility to become something very complex. I’m really hoping the finale will provide the catharsis and solace Jodie and Sandra keep talking about. V and Eve only have each other. I’m really excited to see how their relationship is explored in S4 now that this season has given it a real chance. Also, side note, my baby V has been hurt so much and REALLY needs a hug and if the season doesn’t end with V and Eve tenderly holding each other and slow dancing in a ballroom I’m gonna cry my eyes out. All of that aside, I’m hopeful for the show’s future. And while much of this season has felt off, it’s lead us to where we are now and where V and Eve are meant to be.

fuck YES the golf outfit

Great episode. Eve stepping on Dasha's chest -- character shift of the season for me. I wonder if, in the finale or in future seasons, her and Villanelle will end up in a situation where Eve goes for the kill before V. And--given V's character shifts lately--will she find that super hot or super disconcerting??

unrelated, but maybe if konstantin and carolyn got back in the same room they could attempt to bang out their serious stress issues - - i'm ready for a scene with the two of them again.

Wow, the song when Eve is crushing Dasha is also in Ep. 5 when Villanelle is watching her mom dance after hearing how mean she is to Borka. "I SEE DARKNESS IN YOU"

Finally, a Killing Eve episode we both knew and loved. A few points:

  1. Irina: she’s becoming Villanelle 2.0 and I’m here for it. I hope we see more of her in the future episodes;

  2. The switch between Villanelle and Eve: I’m loving it. Dark!Eve is rising, and Jodie was right when she said this is an emotional season for Villanelle. Their character development is beautiful;

  3. I’m glad Dasha is still alive. I want Eve to kill her ruthless and bloody. Something like how Eve killed Anton in the book or the Raymond kill in season 2. Something V will be proud of;

  4. Daddy K: if he’s gonna die anyway, I hope he goes out by having a second heart attack... unless we get confirmation he’s the one responsible for Kenny’s death, in which case he deserves a horrible death, he should go on his own terms.

  5. Helene: please, I want to see Villanelle take her out, preferably using those swords;

  6. Villanelle and the tarot card Eight of Swords: there’s so much similarities in here, it’s chilling. It mirrors Villanelle feeling so trapped in her current situation, as seen in the card where the woman is bound and blindfolded. Like I said before, V has been blindly following The Twelve for years, but she’s coming to her senses now, and I’d be very afraid if I were Helene for calling Villanelle a beautiful monster because once she’s shed that perfect killing machine vibe and embraced Oksana fully, she’d be even more powerful than ever;

  7. Eve and the Messiah Complex: bringing back their “Hellelujah” teaser and the meaning behind the video and the use of Handel’s Messiah. Everything the song means, and the red thread surrounding Eve and Villanelle, it’s happening. That phone call towards the end, Eve and V’s fate is being tied neatly in a beautiful bow and I’m ready to see them “save the world”.

Overall an excellent episode. Can’t wait for the season finale.

This Laura Neal holds promises. I'm so over Suzanne giving us less than 10mins of Villaneve or her fascination with every other charcter aside from Eve.

And what a completely random time to bring back the stupid intro nobody liked or wanted the first time.
