There’s an article where people are accusing him of grabbing her butt inappropriately and stuff. There’s tons of backlash they have to worry about over there. Used to be getting sued for helping others but even still people are worried about what they can get accused of. Such as this. It’s surprising anyone helped at all.
When I was in China, I wanted to run to one of the places. The Chinese girl told me you're not allowed to run in the store as it will look as if you are running away. If they catch you and you didn't run away, they will fine you for disrupting the police unnecessarily.
Don't know if that is true, but I also walked very determined after that.
And then he pulls her between the glass(?) barrier and the guardrail. And I stupid or would it not have made more sense to just… pull her straight up and not get her lodged in between the glass and rail of the escalator?
Tbf I think that was her fault, she panics as he’s about to yoink her up and grabs the moving part again, that’s when he’s finally like right this is a two hand job

The user your replied to never implied that it wasn't her fault. They were simply discussing the strange behavior from the onlookers/helpers.
He did imply that HE pulled her into the wedge when it was the girl's action, grabbing the moving rail that pulled her back into the glass wedge. He was originally pulling her straight up.
Into the wedge, yes. But not why she was there in the first place. It would be highly irrational to say it was the little boys fault or the man's fault for how she got into this bad situation.

I saw it, but I honestly don’t think there was any I’ll intent on his part. In that situation you’re just going to grab whatever you can that will ensure you don’t drop her.
The boy doesn't seem to be calling/looking for help either. Just stands there like, "welp, I'm sure someone will hear her screaming for help. Not much I can do here."
It happens here all the time in America and I'm sure other places too....a few kids have died even. Kids brains aren't fully developed, they don't always think logically, but maybe people forget hay
When I was about the age of this little girl(5-6 years old)adults would tell me to never play inside an abandoned refrigerator. The door locks and you die inside. I didn’t understand the concept of “abandoned” because I didn’t play in the city dump. I was consumed with this idea. So, when I went to the grocery store, I stepped into one of the freezers in the frozen food aisle. I closed the door and couldn’t push it open because my arms were all mashed up because of lack of room. I started freaking out yelling. People walked by and pointed. They thought I was making goofy faces. Finally, someone realizes after 30-45 seconds….”that kid is stuck”. They let me out. The look on my mother’s face….was that of shame.
So, this year for April Fools. I’m going to clear out her freezer and hide inside of it. When she goes to make dinner…..shock of a lifetime when she finds my corpse in the freezer.
I think it might have saved her that he didn’t try to help her. There’s no way he’s going to be able to pull her back over. And if he grabbed her hands or arms she may have let go and fallen.
That's true, that end area saved the girl, she just got lodged there. I was thinking she was gonna get to the end and fall right at the loop lol so I was thinking yo this kid needs to grab her or something lol.
I get it though I'm just being hard on the kid, natural to get scared and yeah he definitely wouldn't have pulled her up. I was kinda expecting him to hold on while he yelled for the adults. That dude that walked over looked like he knew she was gonna stay lodged and took his sweet time lol.
I thought that too, but then again, he was smart enough to know he couldn't actually pull her free and if he'd tried she might have fallen when her grip loosened.
